:D It just really depends on the sound you are looking for and what style of music you're mixing also. I do a lot of southern rock that is acoustic guitar driven and there are usually 3 - 5 different guitar parts, and if everything were down the center, it would sound like there were 6 guys...

I think the best answer that anyone can give is do whatever you think sounds the best. Pan one hard left and one hard right, put'em both up the center, pan one hard left and hard right and the other about 2, etc., etc.. Play around and use your ears to hear where they fit the best.
