If you search around on other boards, you'll find that some people really love that mic. I met an FOH guy from Clair bros sound who loves the mic on drum overheads. I have the 319 and it does a great job on some male vocals.

Yeah man, I listened to your clip 'that kid thirst'. The recording of the vocal is pretty good man. I think a pre would be the next thing to look at. Maybe some work on the mixing and the drum sound too.

Vox - sorry I didn't comment sooner on your mix. Here's what I heard. Intro - I think the balance between the guitar and the vocal is a bit off. Perhaps having the acoustic a bit louder there would make things better. Vocals are dry. That's not bad by definition, just sounds a little naked...

Perhaps I'm chasing something that isn't the main issue here. I'm not sure what happens in N-track when I do a conversion from 48khz to 44.1khz, I'm still looking at that. I could have mixed down and dithered to 16bit 48khz, but I still wanted to be able to get the mix onto a cd for listening...

I think you're onto something. I know that it's not plugs or N-track that is causing this 'noise' I also notice not all the MP3s are at 44.1.

If you can't open the file without getting the error, you could try to remove the bluerever.dll file from the vst folder of ntrack. When you try to open the file next, you'll get an error message ablut not finding the plug. Once you are able to open the file, remove the plug-in from the track...
