Thanks Man. That was an internet collaboration between players from three different countries. And to everyone else who liked it - thanks! :)

Comparing My Mix to Pro Mix...Which is Better?

Yep, pro mix sounds better to me. The air in the vocals, tighter bottom end, nicer sounding in the low mids... to me anyway.

Yeah man, just listened. Nice job on the mixes! My preference was the cubase sx mix. The thing that bugs me on all these mixes are those bad (out of key) chords that are played at the end of the solo and the end of the song. When I mixed this for the band, I muted a few things that just...

Hey man... listening. pretty good so far. oh nice, the guitars are sounding good. Good balance on the vocal - IMO Snare is a little dull. 2nd chorus...Yeah man, I'm liking it. Back up vox are a little too far back. Gtr solo is hard to hear. As far as the end of the solo, thats a good thing...

No compression was used on any of the tracks going in. I do know that the amp was cranked, so you're going to get that natural overdriven amp clipping (read limiting) coming right out of the speaker bottom.

But you have the right to attack a bystander? Come on man. Suppose the band is lurking the forum? Is it really necessary to to voice your negative opinion about the vocalist who graciously supplied the tracks you're mixing?

Maybe it's the fact that it's on Soundclick. I tried to listen and it says the song hasn't been cleared yet. Why not try a place like Nowhere radio or something. I've never had issues with them, and you don't have to 'join' to download an MP3. Much nicer IMO.

I sure hope you're kidding around. None the less, pretty good job on your mix. :) Nine plugs on the lead vocal? What plugs did you use?

Pretty cool, getting better. :) Too much reverb on the lead vox - for my taste.
