    Memorial road

Yea...my mixes normally contain drums but this is one I left them out as I wanted to create a sort of peaceful tune hence the name, but still not sure wether to include some or not. Anyway the synths...they're all from Reason, all my own programming though(no patches). The main synth is the...

    v3.0 Just downloaded it today

Yea, I'm aware of shift-clicking dude...this is how I normally did it but it's easier now to be able to pan the track alittle...click the EQ disable....adjust the fader a touch...click the EQ disable....you get my drift? The only disappointment though is...not being able to rename them, so if I...

    v3.0 Just downloaded it today

Wow dude...I had no idea you could do this...that's brilliant and will really help out. I'm gonna have a play with this now, thanks... Mart. Edit:-what is so good about this is that, now I can add a bypass for the plugin directly to the strip...even for plugin's that don't normally have a...

    v3.0 Just downloaded it today

As I said earlier...just create a track template. Insert a new track...drop an EQ on it and/or a gate or reverb or whatever you like then, right click on the track and select save as track template...name it and save it and then whenever you want a new track...just click insert, scroll to track...

    v3.0 Just downloaded it today

Well personally, I love the 'reaEQ'...it's parametric...you can just keep adding bands/low cut/high cut etc...it normally uses around 0.5% of your Reapers CPU power, so say you're mixing ten tracks and you drop one on each, that's around 5% for all your EQ processing. It's my favourite EQ...

    mix feedback (rap vocals)

Yep...I felt the same as Louie. Always been a fan of rap/hiphop mostly 90's and mostly NWA stuff but know nothing about the production or performance side but I agree that your rap needs slight improvements in the delivery and punch Physical Ill but that's not to put it down dude cause the...

Putting compression on the finished mix

Yes Jon P, even the most dynamic mixes will have at least some compression added to the final mix. I normally always mix to a compressor inserted across the master. As Rokket says though, a compressor across the final mix isn't really about trying to get the mix loud, although it helps...it's...

    v3.0 Just downloaded it today

Yep.. what he ^ said. I bought mine on version 2.54 and still have the e-mail that tells me I'm good till 3.99. You already installed the license key for version 3 Rokket, so all you have to do with the 3.01 update is install it directly over 3.0 and run it. Mart.

    v3.0 Just downloaded it today

Cool mate...I understand that but just to point out...when I installed it, it just went straight over, no key update etc to worry about. I get the impression that the license only changes over versions, not updates. So if you're licensed for version 3, then you're licensed at least up to 3.99. I...

    Nuclear Fallout

It's so nice of course to hear songs that stray away from the norm as this one does. I really like it...I love when you sing 'Nuclear fall', that bit is really catchy. I'm not so sure that the drums are really too loud but perhaps lack a little bit of low end and so cut through too much. Your...

    Get a grip

Thanks Greg. Yea, you're right about the early 90's feel, I was mainly inluenced during that era...I was in my 20's which says it all. ;)

That guitar sounds much better dude but watch you don't create mud by going too much the other way, I would back off on the low end boom just a little bit. An improvement though mate. I like the song alot. It reminds me of the sort of thing 'Blondie/Debbie Harry' would do. A nice job... Mart.

New demo - bluesy instrumental rock content

I just love this kind of stuff. Pink Floyd/ Dire Straits kind of guitar. I can't play but a few major chords on a guitar but whenever I hear stuff like this, I always get inspired to at least try....of course five minutes later and my finger tips hurt, I hide the thing behind the sofa, drag my...

    Ready, Set, Critics please!!

Productionally, and through my headphones...it sounds great mate with just one exception...the rythm guitar sounds a little bit scratchy in the hi mids...it squeaks abit...like you need an EQ cut at around 2.5k. In fact you might want to cut the EQ on the vocals at about the same place too...
