No offense, but I seriously doubt you can hit a G5 unless you have some sort of previous vocal training, which I'm guessing you don't because of your OP. That's just a really high note for the average dude. Maaaybe if you're really good with falsetto.
People hate on the CAD set, but if you know what you're doing it can actually sound pretty good which is great for the price. But if you're just starting out, that many mics can be overwhelming to manage.
Yeah that's definitely 70ish. Your drummer is pretty crazy. Hope his playing makes up for his bad counting ability :D
Truth :laughings:
Glad you're back dude!
Depends on the song. One of you is obviously having some trouble counting beats or something. 160 bpm is getting up there though. At that bpm I'd expect a pretty steady stream of kick-snare-kick-snare going on so if that's not happening then it's probably 80 bpm. Any sound clips you could...
Sounds like the keys are dead center in Legend's song. I don't really understand the rest of your question though...if it's just one track, the best place you can put it for "spread" would be center. Honestly in that song it's just a nice piano recorded really well. That's always kinda hard...
Well, what kind of a budget do you have? Unfortunately for us HR hobbyists, the lowest-end of "cheap" studio monitors tends to be around $200-$300. It sucks that you can't pick up a sweet pair of monitors for like $100, but that's just how it is. Until you get back to us with your budget, I...
Aux sends can be used for monitors, if that's what you're wondering. They're also used if you've got some outboard gear you want to put into the signal chain, like a compressor or whatnot. Buses pretty much just carry the signal around in the mixer. Like, you could send all of your drum mic...
Dang it Henry spreading the gospel of Avantone is my job!
But yeah seriously check out Avantone's stuff. It's some quality mics, plus they look cool :D
That's still not a good trade with 50€ extra included. Your mic is worth almost double what his is worth.
I've seen a few Boyce Avenue vids, and while they might have a beta58 in the music videos, they most likely aren't actually using it in the studio.
As a Christian, I have a problem with any music genre defined as "Christian ______". I think it's kind of dumb. Settings aside "worship music" like Chris Tomlin and stuff like that (a whole separate issue lol), I don't think there's any such thing as "Christian rock" or whatever. A rock song...
Yeah, you can normally find a new pair for under $150 now. Of course the 280s are even cheaper. I prefer the 380s, but really only you could decide if they're worth the money!
It might be 32 decibel reduction if it's an airtight seal, but I've got a pretty thick head of hair so I can't tell. They definitely do block out a good bit of noise. I'm usually unable to hear people talking to me from 5-10 feet away at all when I'm listening to something at even a moderate...
Dude it's literally right there. Just copy and paste...lol

It's not the "How Can I Improve?" threads that get old...it's the "Uhhh can I sing?" threads. :D I found your voice pleasant enough to listen to. I think your style of music fits you well.
If I had to pick stuff for you to work on, it'd be learning the "technique" of breathing right while...
I'm sure he is off being dedicated to his craft :D
But for real I hate when people say they "love" something and don't pursue it. Cheapens the value of the word!
