So, what are you working on?

    That's vintage, right?:laughings:

So, what are you working on?

LOL...I feel your pain. When I was running 24 tracks of ADATs through a Soundcraft 24x8 board, I would have to practice fader moves for hours before I did a final mix. Eventually that process sure as hell made my initial tracking better cause who in their right mind wants to ride 24 faders?:D

    Zoom R16

The Zoom Forum is a pretty good resource. And yeah, the manual blows. Zoom Gear & Home Recording Forum • View forum - Zoom HD8cd, Zoom HD16cd, Zoom R8, R16 & R24

Advice on Zoom R16 before I buy

I'm still using my R16 as an interface. Performance has been rock solid. The limited control surface functionality is a big bonus for me, too. The pre's aren't stellar, but they're not a penalty box either. Still a good value for the price point.

Triangle Love - a cocktail jazz ballad (featuring some tasty solo work)

The bass, strings, rhodes and piano solo were spectacular.:D The mix is strong as was the arrangement. The staggered entrances worked well in building some momentum. The tones are very complimentary with the vox harmonies done especially well. Bout the only nit I have is the drum fills are...

    Tascam 488 mixing down...puleezz...

If you're looking for a decent 2 channel unit to interface the 488 with a PC, the Tascam US122 series is a nice, inexpensive choice.

First time recording....Zoom RD-16 or Inexpensive Interface?

The Zoom also functions as an interface and comes bundled with Cubase.

Any one interested in a collab effort?

It's a beautiful tune..and I'm a total sucker for those major tonalities. I might've been a bit schmaltzy, but I am, at heart, a big schmaltz*.:p Thanks for letting me take a run at this. I sent you a PM back....looks like I'll be able to nail something down in the next couple of days.:cool...

Any one interested in a collab effort?

With a voice like hers, I'd put up with that. LOL Dont worry bout the tempo maps...if there's 8 variances, a map aint gonna help much.:D:drunk:

Any one interested in a collab effort?

Here's a sketch of ideas for this tune. It's a little rough in the absence of a click track, but I think you'll get the gist of it. One pad, one elec. piano, 2 string tracks. Lots of directions to go with this...and alot will depend on the instrumentation you ultimately choose to go with. I...

Any one interested in a collab effort?

Lol...I took your mp3 amd loaded it into Sonar just to monkey around with it. Laid 4 tracks already.

Any one interested in a collab effort?

I need another project like I need a hole in my head, but I'm really captured by this tune. I would love to add some keys/pads to this. Hit me up, dude.

Can I Use a Zoom R16 as a Fully Functioning Audio Interface?

I have been using the R16 in interface mode for a couple if years now. It was a pain in the ass to get set up and finally I resorted to using the ASIO4All drivers. Since then, zero problems. I also use it as a control surface for Sonar 8. I really like that feature. Yeah, the pres arent...

    Something New

Hey Creep. Nice tones throughout and loved the arrangement...which is always a strong point with LPC tunes. I'll echo Greg up to a point....the kick is pretty out front, but for this style it's not bugging me really. I agree with the lifeless toms...they don't have much attack or definition...

    Audio interface suggestions?

Lol...I use the Zoom R16...it gives you 8 XLR/ 1/4" combo inputs and doubles as a control surface for your DAW. I love having a physical fader rather than mousing a bunch of em on a screen.
