How do I play 2 softsynths in realtime in Sonar 2.2?

    MIDI setup?

I don't know in newer version, but last time I checked my Adobe Audition 1.5 doesn't support MIDI. It can trigger MIDI event or controlled by MIDI controller, but it's deffinitely not a MIDI sequencer... :) ;) Jaymz

How do I play 2 softsynths in realtime in Sonar 2.2?

I don't remember how to do it in sonar 2, but in Sonar 4, go to Options --> General tab, and uncheck "Always echo current MIDI track". Otherwise, look for Recording table (or something like that) and map MIDI output to corespond it's MIDI channel, eg. Ch 1 to 1, ch 2 to 2, etc... ;) Jaymz

    A question to recording engineers...

I couldn't say better than LeeRosario... ;) Bottom line, you got to understand. Recording is an art and engineering at the same time. Where do you see yourself in the mix? Pan yourself hard left as an artist (those who do the art of recording), then yes... emotion inolved. Pan yourself hard...

    Whats so great about ch.10?

It's an ancient standard. 10 or 15 years ago, almost every device put their drums/percusion patch to respond only channel 10. To maintain compability with older synth, it's recomended to route drums track on channel 10. Some manufacturer (even softsynth) still use this standard (GM level1...

    Delta 1010 vs. Delta 1010lt

1010LT and 1010 are different cards and use different converters (some said 1010s are better, I dunno). The 1010LT only has 2 balanced ins, and it's not very practical without a separate preamp as the line/mic level is set with jumpers and is not variable. The two principle differences between...

SONAR 4... lost my navigator bar! How do I get it back?

Negative rep point (red chicklet I'm talking about) is given to member (by another members) when particular member is dissliked somehow. Maybe you pissed people off sometime, and many considered you deserve to get neg rep point. You can also get red chicklet if you use pirated software. Anyway...

    Hey moskus...

Thanks alot guys! I thought trouble would come on the 5th years of marriage, it comes faster I guess... (3rd years). I always believe she'll be back to me somehow. There's a guy she met last year while shoping with her friends. He's very very very very rich and deeply in love with her, and she...

    Hey moskus...

Love you all, guys! Sorry I haven't posted that much anymore. 2005 had been very very very difficult time for me. I was so depressed. My wife ran away for somebody else. Long story I couldn't write here. Then I lost my jobs 3 times. etc etc. Takes time to get a grip and back to normal life...

No Idea What Im Doing Wrong Here...

Yes, you forget to tell us what Cakewalk you use, and your comp spec :D Anyway, as the almighty Dachay stated above, with DXi / VSTi you can do the "MIDI to audio" conversion in the mixing stage, that's it when you export your tracks as final mix into stereo wav file (File --> Export -->...

    m-Audio Delta 1010LT question

Thanks for clearing up things, Alex :) It's said, 1010LT doesn't supply phantom power (+48V). You need external preamp (with phantom power) to power your condenser mic if you use one. The price is realy worth the 10 - In/Out + 1 MIDI port & the 24/96 - AD/DA converter, not the "preamp". ;) Jaymz

    m-Audio Delta 1010LT question

Welcome to the board... Let's see if I can help... 1. Are the preamps on the m-Audio likely to be better or not as good as the ART mic preamp? As an aside, I have a giant *basket* of 12AT7 and 12AX7 tubes, some of which are newer, and some vintage, so I am betting that I could get...
