Im good with "too fast" LOL Checked tape machines first. Tascam analog console do not have "input" and "output" near the VU meters. Then, Most tascam decks have the track number under the right edge of the VU, not centered. Started through the series's and voila!

The tascams (at least the US 1800) of which I use are in fact noted for low headphone output. As a drummer it was a problem for me. I use the 4 channel Berry mentioned above and it is problem solved!
