I was told it has to do with print through. Im not sure I believe it or not, but...when stored heads out any print through comes through as a faint pre-echo of a loud part. When stored tails out the print through produces a faint regular echo of a loud section/part but its masked by the loud...
Personally, I'd make room for the 320B. They are well thought of and built very well. The only issue you may run into is deteriorating capacitors. It happens over time. If you are handy at all with electronics, they are easy to replace. You should be very happy.
Another DDA fan here. Its just in the US it is very hard to find parts for them. Awesome EQ and pres. Everything in and out balanced +4. Mine is all transformer coupled.
I solved my parts problem by buying a second console cheap and harvesting the goodies!
female xlr to TRS male cable at one end (interface end).
Are you sure the other end of the snake is also male XLR? If so Female xlr to female TRS cable or adaptor. Drummer's headphones plugs in here.
The presonus is not really a full on mixer if youre talking about the studio live versions (i have a 24 by the way). It is really more of an interface for the computer. Yes it can do live but in my opinion it was designed and built to work with presonus's DAW Studio One mainly.I have no...
I typed what I actually said. Dont need your interpretation, or your condescending commentary. Do whatever you like, just dont dog others who do it differently.
Also I didnt see anyone here asking to do anything with your masters.
And I just went and dragged out the manuals for final generation pro tape machines from 3 different manufacturers that state "Clean and De-magnetize daily..."
The engineers who designed and produced these machines know far more about it than I do. I follow their recommendations. Somehow I think they wernt responding to a myth.
How long have you owned the machine?
The first response from me would be clean the heads and the tape path meticulously.
The fact that it doesnt erase is troublesome. Some of the erase signal is applied at the record head during program recording. Without it you will get weak recordings and...
You are good to go with an interface. Which version of GB? That program started out really simple, basically best for arranging and editing apple loops. It has come a long way in the later versions. I keep v11 around for quick and fun recordings, even though Quebase and Studio One are in the...
That is an awesome job of repurposing! Like someone said it remains in the family, if not as beds to sleep on, but now a bed for innovation.
What a miserable tale on reel to reels. Sounds possibly like one of the fostex machine you describe might have been dealing with SSS tape.
Keep at it...
Oh please, please, please, please let it be true!
I had my saved searches to ignore any listing by him, so wasnt noticing him.
Im going to go check right now!!!!
yep. that should do it. the scarlet has phantom power (+48) that needs to be turned on to power the condenser mic. It is also compatible with macs.
Mic>---mic cable---> scarlet >--- USB cable ---> mac air
Once droivers are installed open GB, tutn on the interface and make a new track and...
