    Fender Deluxe Vintage Modified?????

I was watching a youtube video because I've been droolin over this amp. The Fender rep said that they chose digital reverb over spring because the spring would have increased the weight and increased the size of the head substantially. I guess they really had gigging musicians in mind with these...

    Fender Deluxe Vintage Modified?????

I told you! And I'm willing to bet that we aren't the only ones with similiar taste in amps. I never even considered Fender an option because of the drive issues, but this thing completely changed my view. Fender really did something incredible with this amp. I'm snagging one now before they...

    All this "acoustics" nonsense...

Fitz, thats a pretty cool idea. I'll admit that I have absolutely no idea what is at play there. Forgive me if I am wrong, you may know more, but I know Muttley is well versed in acoustics and teaches classes on it. Would he know? You may want to PM him about it if he would know. Also, if you...

    Fender Deluxe Vintage Modified?????

Yup. I was nearly sold on the 30 especially because of the value. Very affordable amp with warm cleans, great blues tones, and it likes pedals. But the Deluxe VM is just a step up on all acounts with some nice effects and that great Fender clean. Plus for only 200 more than the 30 its a...

    Fender Deluxe Vintage Modified?????

Yeah, sounds like you got a deal. I'm at a moral dillema because the guys at my local store showed me the VM, otherwise I would be getting a Classic 30. They sell it for $800 there. My buddy who works for GC distributing, can get it for me for around $600. I can afford $600 now, but I'll have to...

    All this "acoustics" nonsense...

Man can't a brotha dream? Tha'ts a good point though. Imagine a person's reaction if I have an amp pointed out my window and they walk through the "beam" of sound. Seems pretty funny to me. I suppose once the sound hits the walls it's going to reverberate, so you may be right. But it would be cool.

    All this "acoustics" nonsense...

I agree with what Fitz and many of you have said, but I still see some usefullness to this idea. it may not work well for micing (though I don't see any reason it wouldn't for close micing), but Imagine: It's Midnight, the kids are asleep, the wifes asleep, parents, or whatever. Youve got...

    Fender Deluxe Vintage Modified?????

That's pretty much how I feel. At first I was really turned off by the DSP in this amp to begin with, I'm pretty much a natural guitar to amp with an occasional wah and a phase 90 for wanking on some Van Halen kinda guy. But the 4 effects here are quality and tasteful, I can actually see myself...

    Fender Deluxe Vintage Modified?????

Agreed. The footswitch on the VM is easily a $75 dollar value, built like a tank, and has about a 30 ft. cable to it. I think it weighs around 30 maybe 40 pretty light for what it is. And the black Fender Cover. You don't even get a Footswitch with a Classic 30 half the time.

    Fender Deluxe Vintage Modified?????

Yeah thats why I was so skeptical at first. But I think it deserves the crazy name. And yup its MIM.

    Fender Deluxe Vintage Modified?????

I'd kill for a 335. I play through the neck pickup of my $600 les paul copy right now, though I'm pretty satisfied. I can tell your a Jazz guy. Do you play anything else? Either way I know youll be blown away by the Bandmaster VM, especially for the price. And the chorus is great for Jazz...

    Fender Deluxe Vintage Modified?????

I'm certainly not a Fender expert, and not an amp expert either, but I think we are talking about different amps. from what I understand the Deluxe Reverb is a different animal than the Deluxe RI and the Deluxe VM, what I'm looking at is different than the other two. I thought the Deluxe Reverb...

    Fender Deluxe Vintage Modified?????

I agree, not at that price, but if I wait another paycheck and can scrape $200 more I can have equally capable tone (I think, will know for sure after further investigation tomorrow) plus a little extra headroom, $300 worth of effects, and a decent REALLY dirty channel, for wankin off the Van...

    Fender Deluxe Vintage Modified?????

If there was a thread I cant find it. Well its good to know that I wasn't just drunk on the looks and the footswitch and the effects and all that. You know sometimes you get that fever and then five days after buying your like "what was I thinking?"

My ongoing ebay saga with my Les Paul purchase

Ha, yeah I know. That part threw me for a loop when I first started foolin around. A buddy of mine plays a ton of instruments but no strings. He literally handed it to me one day. I need to get that thing out again.
