Yeah, I've never played through a Weber, but I know alot of people on here rave about Weber speakers. I don't foresee myself replacing the celestian in my DVM though.
Brownsburg, it's a suburb of Indianapolis. The ORP, where the drag nationals are held everyyear, is about a mile away from me, if you're a race fan. It's pretty crazy when they hold the nationals and you hear drag cars 24/7.
Thanks double g unn. You are correct. If you want more info (or if anyone does) check this link:

The guys at the local shop told me it was called a linear tapered pot, but ithey were confused on the name. I spent forever with that...
Update:
Alright, decided to go buy from my buddy at GC (as guilty as I feel). He's snagging me the Deluxe VM for $520+tax (shipping should be free). So we're figuring $580 tops if we have to pay shipping. $800 amp for $580. He's putting in the order monday, so I should be able to post my sheer...
dastrick is referring to TimObrien's obligatory response, again read it, it's like the newb bible. Also, this is my suggestion, which can either be taken or left. I started out in this hobby with Protools as my DAW, and I love it. But before you go out and spend $3000 on something you've never...
Thanks for the review Rogue, been waiting for it. And I know I counted this thing out a while back, but the more I thought about it, I figured I could definitely use it on the Peavey Classic 50 I almost bought. However, I went with the Fender Deluxe VM as you may remember, which, as an added...
I go to my local shop for guits and amps, well I try to most of the time anyway. They have some PA's. But the used Peavey mixer that's been on sale and discounted several times sums up their pro audio/ recording. And mic wise, they only ever have Peavey vocal mics. Not even an Sm57.
Yeah, that's a good point. My impression by the syllabus is that he found every major component of recording and made a list. And then in the 2 days he will cover someof it and then merely mention or summarize the rest. I honestly would probably do it if it weren't for the due date of the first...
And, if it helps, what really rejuvinated my playing was theory. If you are serious about your craft I sincerely believe that this is an important step. You'll learn why chords work the way they do and how their built, also how to improvise with something other than the pentatonic. You can learn...
sweetwater ftw
I will ditto Sweetwater. I've done Musicians Friend, and had an ok experience, no problems. Decided to do sweetwater, because of a discount I get through a contact at a College, they blew me away. Not only did my monitors come adequately shipped (styrofoam, and packin nuts), I...
I'm not sure if mandolins have metal tuners, or if they have wooden ones like on my violin, but if they are metal, you could have what are called burs on the tuner. A bur is like a niche that gets worn into the tuner and then can cause strings to break. I believe they can be filed out easily...
I think this is common in many stores though. When i was amp shopping recently, I went to the local shop, where I know all of the guys, and normally we can talk shop and test out the gear and its all good. However, this time I told them I was definitely in the market for an amplifier. Now...
fwiw I just read somewhere that the smashing pumpkins used like 40 layers of guits on cherub rock. Flood even referred to them as the guitar overdub army or something. Just an instance where this worked (at least for my ears), but I think it was said on this sites somewhere else that because of...
dude since youve been waiting so long I'll try to help (I'm sure you're wanting to get moving on your new system. I have PT 7. Hopefully not much has changed, but anyway, on the top of the screen you will see either window or view (can't remember the exact button), let the options drop down and...
