    multitrack vs computer

Your Korg D1600 is very similar to the older Yamaha AW16G and the Yamaha AW1600 units. You can export files via CD to computer. If it ain't broke....use it to record yourself.

    2008 Martin D28 - horrible resonances

For years, whenever I re-string any of my acoustic guitars I push the string through the turn post and cut the string 3" beyond the turn post. Push the string back by 2-1/2" and begin winding. Too few wraps round the turn post can be problematic....or so I've learned (on my own) and read. Works...

Pulled a coupla guitars from storage for general cleaning and love recently

Ooooh. I like the looks of that! Reminds me of my 1980 black LP I gifted to my daughter who traded it away. :spank:

    Guitar Straps

15 to 20 years ago here at HR, a thread like this would've been full up with photos of guitar straps. The times, the times, are indeed changing.

    2008 Martin D28 - horrible resonances

I've listened to Guitar A and Guitar B mp3 files many times.. Guitar A mp3 file certainly does possess a low tone belllike overtone to it that quickly tapers off and then (all of sudden) we hear a pronounced higher pitched resonance or echo at a higher frequency. That can happen whenever a...

I'm glad you read the Martin guitar forum thread, and I agree that the discussion there was inconclusive, however, I still recommend it that you visit AGF for additional responses and suggestions. Everyone here (myself included) desires it that you find a solution in the near future.

And NOW (according to your latest posts) you're attempting to convince yourself (and other people) that it's the B string (not the G string) that is the root cause of all your resonant woes. You should also consider registering and posting at https://www.acousticguitarforum.com/forums/

    Guitar Straps

Whenever I watch YouTube videos of famous or infamous guitar players I find myself looking at their guitar straps. Some straps are meh, but some straps are works of art. If you have a great looking strap, post a pic.

I totally agree with you! Plucking those two strings on any of my guitars (electric or acoustic) generates an intolerable resonance.

According to post #5 the frequency that is most troubling to the OP is 800hZ. Before I go any further, let's take a look at 6 string guitar frequencies. When the OP is playing an open Am chord using only strings 4, 3, and 2 the frequencies are 164.8, 220.0, 261.6 respectively. I'll grant it...

According to your 1st post you bought that D28 in 2009. Throughout this thread you have received a plethora of advice to get to the root cause of your dissatisfaction seemingly to no avail. When you say "Open Am Chord" do you mean to say your fingering is
