It's a very nice lead break. Amazing how well it fits over a different version recorded 5 years later. That's some tempo matching. Were you actually trying to keep the tempo identical to the original?

This is something different. The drums are a bit too busy when the vocals come in. I'd be tempted to back off that frenetic hihat. Everything calms down at 2.45 and grooves better, until the hats come back at 3.50.

The intro synth reminded me of the Prodigy. Very cool. The vocal reverb treatment sounds 'cold'. I have the same problem trying to get the vocals to sit right. Maybe try a vocal doubler to thicken them instead of reverb

Sounds like the guitar was DI'd? It's just got that sharp gritty DI type sound, you could smooth off with EQ. Otherwise mix is very well behaved, nice job

This is a fun jam. I would haul in that tom from 2 feet outside the left earphone into the centre a bit more. Slightly wacky and off beat but good tones. Nice job

Bass is big and clear, nice and tight with the kick and doesn't mask it. Guitar break is cool. Listened a few times - is there a rough edit right at the start of it around 3.21, like you chopped off a piece at the beginning? Be interesting to hear with dry vocals, would make the delayed parts...

The drums are real. They were a bit too roomy so I turned down the ohead and room mics and ran the close mics out thru an Altec limiter set to abuse and blended them back in. Happy with how they turned out. Thanks for the vocal tip. That's actually a good idea but unfortunately the singer...

Ha sorry about that. . Yep the vocal is mostly doubled. It looks like bringing up the guitar has masked them. Thanks for that, now that you mention it, it's kind of obvious
