New Honey Hunters - Fabulous Wonderful

Sounds really good. I like everything about it except the chorus. Vocals are great as are melody and composition. Good job

    So I'm not that special

Ah yes I remember those heady headphone poppin days. With this one I was trying for bass more in the pocket than in the face. You're right though, I've made some adjustments. Good intel thanks Kev

Tied Up And Twisted - Original blues/rock song

Yeh I agree with the above. Also I would simplify the drums, the repetitive fills aren't contributing. Pretty good for your first original

    "Falling"

It's a very nice lead break. Amazing how well it fits over a different version recorded 5 years later. That's some tempo matching. Were you actually trying to keep the tempo identical to the original?

    Unchain My Heart

Nice chops. Pretty decent tones from $145 of wires! Vocals are great, accomplished mix. No nits on these monitors

    Still alive and well

    Nice sleuthing Mr spantini!

"Look" - electronic oriented rock HR collab

This is something different. The drums are a bit too busy when the vocals come in. I'd be tempted to back off that frenetic hihat. Everything calms down at 2.45 and grooves better, until the hats come back at 3.50.

Would love to hear what you think of the mix on this...

The intro synth reminded me of the Prodigy. Very cool. The vocal reverb treatment sounds 'cold'. I have the same problem trying to get the vocals to sit right. Maybe try a vocal doubler to thicken them instead of reverb

    CPC/THE DISEASE

The intro drags on a bit long. Sounds like some rough edits around the changeup. The swing groove is cool. Vocals are good too maybe could come up a bit. You can hear the over limiting Kev is talking about at around 2.55 with just the kick & snare, sounds like they're gasping for air. Nice...

    Monterey Jack -Final Mix-

Sounds like the guitar was DI'd? It's just got that sharp gritty DI type sound, you could smooth off with EQ. Otherwise mix is very well behaved, nice job

Psychosi Original , Partly mixed with Beyerdynamic DT 770 PRO 250 Ohm Headphones for the first time

Nothing sticks out on my monitors as being too much or not enough. Vocal is sitting appropriately. Your headphone mix seems good

    So I'm not that special

I finally caught covid. I thought I was too tough to catch it, turns out I'm just like everyone else. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Ulkhb0-N2SwSDpPr_oT8j_dCFDUNPATL/view?usp=share_link First impression on this mix? No lyrics yet, just a guide vocal. Full disclosure, I repurposed a Zeppelin...

Boots And Cans And Baited Hooks

This is a fun jam. I would haul in that tom from 2 feet outside the left earphone into the centre a bit more. Slightly wacky and off beat but good tones. Nice job

    Mending A Fence

Wow this is a changeup from the original. The delays sound good. Vocals are more upfront and kicking, the doubling is cool. I would be tempted to center them and wait for the repeat of 'mending a fence' to bring in the effects. Guitars at 3.20 are sweet. What effect are you using? That's a...

    Mending A Fence

Bass is big and clear, nice and tight with the kick and doesn't mask it. Guitar break is cool. Listened a few times - is there a rough edit right at the start of it around 3.21, like you chopped off a piece at the beginning? Be interesting to hear with dry vocals, would make the delayed parts...

    Rain

The drums are real. They were a bit too roomy so I turned down the ohead and room mics and ran the close mics out thru an Altec limiter set to abuse and blended them back in. Happy with how they turned out. Thanks for the vocal tip. That's actually a good idea but unfortunately the singer...

    Rain

Ha sorry about that. . Yep the vocal is mostly doubled. It looks like bringing up the guitar has masked them. Thanks for that, now that you mention it, it's kind of obvious

    Rain

Just on the part with the stereo effects, or the vocal generally?

    Left me Breathless (pop)

Nice job. Sympathetic sound choices. Vocals are in a great space. Very smooth
