can anyone recommend 24 track hard disc recorder that interacts with 1995 analog mackie board

I keep one at a friends home where we jam on weekends. What I love is they're stable. I can just turn it on and not worry about it for four hours. Then I just pull the drive and take it home to monkey with.

The Breedlove sounds nothing like the Martins and more tubby sound to it. Dreadnaughts are notoriously woofy with a mic near the sound hole but you're saying...

    Acoustic Guitar Strings

I've used Elixers but went back to GHS Bright Bronze. 12's by the way. On Martin D-35, D-41, 000-18 and a Grand Auditorium sized Taylor. For me it's that crisp tone that I feel records really well.

    Fig 8 Drum Room Mic

Drums is my favorite thing to track. The thing I've learned is how much the room matters and small spaces sound....small. The only times I was ever happy with room mics, the room was large. All my basement room mic experiences I didn't like. Your Mileage May Very.

    Fig 8 Drum Room Mic

Here's a cheap experiment. Take a Sm57 and point it at one of the side walls. Like twoo inches off the wall and crush it with a compressor.

Beatles recorded Sgt Pepper using a 4-track machines. If they didn't bounce how many tracks would they have used?

Let me dig out my Complete Beatles book. I think I can figure out how many bounces equals tracks

Catching that 60s and 70s vibe

Before I did a thing I'd do some recording and LISTEN hard to what you get. Don't try to fix what ain't broke.
