Huge sound from two copies of a single take ??

That's it, and also why I'm curious. I don't really care if it's a keeper or not but I'd like to hear the sound and, if possible, know what the technique was.

Would you be willing to share the guitar recording here? I'm curious to hear it.

If you're whistling on a recording, please turn in your mics & headphones...

I used to sing that live with a pal of mine from time to time. Civil War was another one we did with a bit of whistling in it.

No, there's no paid subscriptions here. It's possible DM is held back until a new member has X posts, although I didn't think that was the case. I can check...

If you click, or just hover, on a person's name, over to the left, a menu will pop up. You should see "Send direct message" in there. Alternatively you can click the mail/envelope at the very top right of the site to access your DM box, and click "Send direct message" from there, typing the...

Welcome aboard, Joe! Great to hear your experience as a guest was good. Thanks for the introduction and sharing your work. I'm not going to pretend I have time to do any substantial listening right now but I took a very quick tour. Very impressive work! I'll make a note and maybe listen through...

Spotify can be used free with occasional adverts. Fairly sure you still need an account, though. It's not an unreasonable expectation in 2024 although I appreciate not everyone is going to have an account.

Looking for rap songs to mix

Hi @damswari I deleted your second post because it contained your email address. Websites like this get crawled by bots and email addresses get harvested. Next thing you know you're getting 100 spam emails a day. (y)

    New Members: Introduce Yourself Here!

Hi Nick, Welcome to HR. Do you already record the raw tracks yourself or have you been going to studios for that so far? Your work on Spotify sounds great. Hearing lots of Beatles and ELO influence there. Either way you're in the right place. That's great to hear that you're willing to share...

Ribbon cable attachment on a StudioLogic Acuna 88 (Fatar) keybed?

That's going to be very awkward, either way. It's hard to tell what approach angles you've got, from the pictures, but I think angled tweezers will be your friend here. Surely there's got to be a way to remove the hammers, though? Looks like they pivot on a long bar - Can that be withdrawn...

Recording my DIY mellotron : Any Advices?

I applaud it. You've got an idea, you've got a plan, and, presumably, you've got the time. Even if the results end up being useless it sounds like you'll learn a lot from the experience. Be sure to come back and share your results!

Audio quality from Laptop to Behringer UMC 404 very poor

Fair enough. Synchronising regular recording methods with karaoke style prompts probably would be a real pain. I take your point. Alright, let's go back to plan A then (or b?). If you can let us hear a clip of the low quality, it might help in diagnosing. (y)
