Spotify can be used free with occasional adverts. Fairly sure you still need an account, though. It's not an unreasonable expectation in 2024 although I appreciate not everyone is going to have an account.

That's going to be very awkward, either way. It's hard to tell what approach angles you've got, from the pictures, but I think angled tweezers will be your friend here. Surely there's got to be a way to remove the hammers, though? Looks like they pivot on a long bar - Can that be withdrawn...

I applaud it. You've got an idea, you've got a plan, and, presumably, you've got the time. Even if the results end up being useless it sounds like you'll learn a lot from the experience. Be sure to come back and share your results!

Fair enough. Synchronising regular recording methods with karaoke style prompts probably would be a real pain. I take your point. Alright, let's go back to plan A then (or b?). If you can let us hear a clip of the low quality, it might help in diagnosing. (y)
