It's time to get our website up. there are so many sites selling domain names at a wide range of prices with a wide variety of services. Who would you use and why?
Some recent quotes on S.P mics by DJL that may surprise you:
He obviously has issues with SP but he seems fair enough. If it were to come up in the drummers forum I'd treat ludwig the same way he treats SP. They make some decent stuff but I'll make sure EVERYONE knows that they have a...
Has anyone seen a noticable improvement from switching to Mogami cables? Are they really that much better, worth twice-thrice the $$$ of cables by whirlwind, peavey, etc?
Or what about a Zaolla M25' for $232.95!!!!!
If there's a reason to spend over 200 bucks on a cable...
Well I've searched and I still can't find the info i need to make an informed buying decision. I'm looking for a LDC for vocals. One male and three female vocalists. The male is a tenor with a lot of gravel, the women are doing three part harmonies. The band is a power trio, fronted buy the...
Why do tube mics use seven pin connectors? Does it have to do with the external power supply? It must be compatible with the standard 3 pin inputs on my mixer and pres, yes?
Whats the difference between directs outs and Aux sends? If there are aux sends on each channel could they not be used as direct outs? If I assign a channel to a buss can that same channel go other places via aux send and vice versa?
Basically i'm trying to figure if the Yamaha 12/4 and a...
We're about to by a new machine, which processor would work best with Home Studio 2004 XL?

Ok........we've learned that the sampling therom states that the sampling freq must not exceed S/2 when S = the sampling rate.
A low pass filter cuts out all above S/2
Range of human hearing ends at 22KHz
So to sample the highest audible freq you'd need a sample rate of 44KHz.
Thus the CD...
In my music tech course we are starting to study Binary and Hex, and although I understand the relationship, I wonder, how often do you experienced MIDI composers use either?
Okay so let's see if I've got this right:
Impedence (Z) which is measured in Ohms is the resistance to voltage passing thru a circuit. If the input or load Z of a device is 10 x the output Z of of the signal it's receiving then the system is bridged and if they are equal it's matched.
If the...
I've been shopping for my first MIDI controller and just picked up a M-Audio Radium 61 on E-Bay, 1 month old, all original manuals, boxes, etc. for 135usd plus 15.00 S&H.
Did I do good?
Will I regret it in 6mos?
I'm not a keyboardist and never plan to pretend to be one, but need to add midi tracks for production. I'll be using soft synths so I'm not concerned about the quality of the on board sounds.
Would a Yamaha PSR 510 fit the bill?
Is touch response different from velocity sensitive?
Thanks
According to the RT60 calculator I used I have a problem at & below 500Hz. Now I'd love to use the trap designs on the sites of Mr. Winer & Mr.Sayer, but with my woodworking skills I wouldn't have fingers left to turn the knobs on the gear. So I call the boys at "Klaus Knuff Kunstruckshun" and...
Would most people be able to notice a difference in quality? I'd love the TAMPA, but that ain't gonna happen. Now I don't need a gear snob to tell me anything but top of the line is crap, I just need to know if I can achieve an acceptable level of sound quality putting either of these in front...
