When he was first playing the two Klons I could clearly hear the differences - the Moskey was Brighter and slightly Thiner - when he upped the gain they were simlilar although the Moskey was still brighter (not in a good way) - a $6970 difference though? Not on your life,

It means they are doing weird distorting things, breaking up, overloading, etc. That's called splatter, and is sometimes caused by the compressor/limiter being hit too hard in mixing - and sometimes just letting them wash out too much.
Do the templates have the timing of the drums built into them? Meaning sometime you want to push the snare a couple of ticks in front of the beat - and the hi-hat one tick in front - and then the kick locked into the beat -
Kontakt Player is free - But you can’t create or manipulate samples with it - Are you wanting to create Mellotron type sounds? It’s a bit hard to emulate a Mellotron - part of the sound is the mechanics involved - tape playback - worn out tape after a bunch of playback - Limited Frequency...

The Mains are XLR Balanced - so 25’ or 50’ XLR cables - one to each side.
I wouldn’t run stereo - but I don’t think you have a choice - so just don’t pan anything.
