Humbucker cavity is approx 1 and 5/8ths wide. P90 is 1and 7/16ths wide. So you’ll have a gap.

Original Tune - Come on in (Heavy Melodic Alternative Rock)

I like mix 3 the best. Seems the most balanced. Can’t get too specific as I only listened on my phone. Catchy tune. It’s short, gets to the point and there’s actually lots of changes to keep it interesting. Btw, considering the wah pedal has been sitting unused for a while, you did a good job...

Guitar 'truths" that you believe are myths

Why thank you. You’re so kind. :D I’m smart enough to not pay too much attention to all the things people get wrapped up in. I got enough on my hands with just playing the damn thing as well as I’d like too.

    What defines a great guitar?

    What defines a great guitar?

Let me ask you this. What are the flattening agents and how do they work? A satin finish is cool, but they don’t stay that way. On a neck, given enough time, they’ll get polished up to a gloss finish. Kind of defeats the original intention.

    What defines a great guitar?

I was going to ask you what your background was, as you’d brought up lacquers before. I got the idea from previous posts that you had some kind of background into formulas. Thanks for sharing. Over the years I’ve worked with a bunch of different finishes, but as i said, I’m no chemist. And I...

    What defines a great guitar?

I’m no chemist but I know what feels right. If you’re happy with your choices all the more power to you. :D

    What defines a great guitar?

I’ve picked up plenty of guitars that looked good with flawless workmanship, and had all the right stuff. Felt like shit in my hands. I had no willingness to ‘give it a chance’, spend time to ‘bond’ with it, ect, etc. For me an instant dealbreaker is polyester, polyurethane, UV cured...

'Michael's House", working on final mix

Just a teeny bit more forward on the vocal in my opinion. Otherwise great ??

'Michael's House", working on final mix

Your stuff is always good, and you’re quite prolific with your output. That takes a good work ethic. (y) But yeah, this one could use a little work on the vocals.

Gibson is not a good company.

There’s the old story. Page and Clapton tried each other’s rigs to experience how the other sounded. To their dismay, they discovered they still sounded like themselves. True story? Urban legend? It don’t matter, there’s truth in that tale.
