How many electric guitars does one really need to (fairly authentically) "cover the bases" - soundwise only?

I snuck it across in an American flag. :ROFLMAO:

This is the P90 that comes to practice a lot. It's a middle between stratty single coils and a humbucker...

The P90 is one of my go to guitars. Amazingly simple but covers ground from super clean to grinding rock filth. :P A Filtertron is something I have yet to try, but it's different enough to consider it another flavour (Gretsch).

New R20 16 track recorder coming soon

I have the L-12 and Mostly it is used at home, so the touch screen seems unnecessary right now. In the field I just capture to SD and transfer to DAW.

    Direct Boxes

Going to the extreme side, that's one of the reasons I got a Kemper. Kind of an all in one box. Haven't tried a bass through it yet, but it's ready for that too.

Thoughts on these silent PCs for recording?

Don't get me wrong. My Surface Pro 6 has 8gb ram and runs Reaper and Samplitude Music Studio well. It's the drum plugins that create issues, more so in Samplitude than Reaper. Recording vocals, or guitar is no issue.

Thoughts on these silent PCs for recording?

Understood. My main issue is with drum plugins. That seems to eat the processor/ram. Otherwise everything seems to run/load fine.

Thoughts on these silent PCs for recording?

I have a Surface Pro 6 with 8gb of ram and would consider it barely capable. You'll need 16gb ram minimum IMHO.

    Which should I choose?

I have a PRS Silver Sky and have fallen in love with it. Am seriously looking at the PRS Fiore for that Humbucker bridge goodness.
