How do you get this "effect"

This is that sound on my keyboard that I thought sounded like it. (Techno Bass) With a Flanger on that and a Lo to Hi sweep across it may make it sound spot on. Obviously not so bassy but you'll hear what I mean. If it's of any use, I can sample the notes you need and send them over. :thumbs up:

    Changing time signaures

As ashcat_it says above, both ways will work. I prefer the Right Click method personally or at the position on the time line you want to change the time, press Shift + C. Once you've edited the time for the part you need the change, repeat and put in the original timing where you want the...

    What does bridging mean?

Yeah it's nothing to worry about, gladly. I recently upgraded to 64Bit myself. You just get an extra little window for each 32Bit VST/VSTi you use and the presets for those are in the Bridge Window, for some/most, rather than the VST/VSTi. (As below) I've yet to find one that doesn't work...

    Brother

This is the latest track I'm working on with my mate Tim. Another cracking little tune of his. It's a bit rough round the edges at the minute and I've just got some basic ideas down around the main track. See what you's think of it so far. I'm looking forward to getting cracking on this but...

    The River Song

Here's another track from my friend Tim, that I'm currently recording with. I really like this song. I tracked him last night playing acoustic and singing live because it just wasn't working for him to play the song without singing. (It didn't have the same feel) I added some picking, bass and...

    So Untrue

Been a while since I posted anything so I'll chuck this one up. I've been recording with an old friend over the past few months, on and off when time allows and we can actually get together. This is the latest tune I'm working on. He sent me a rough demo from his phone and I built the track...

    Guitar picks, whaddya use???

This is a very special plectrum that I'd never consider using. I can only assume it was supposed to be a Christmas Present to me from my Mum in 2013 that never made it in time, as I knew nothing about it. The engraving is my initials. I found it in her Mobile Phone Case the day she died. I'd...

    Does this matter? Waveforms................

I think it's to do with this setting. (See image below) When you zoom far enough in, in track view, you can change the way the waveform is displayed. I remember with older versions of Reaper it looking more like your screenshot but now it doesn't seem so harsh when changed. I would think that...

If this guy can still play guitar with hands like these, the rest of us should zero issues.

Can someone advise how this Son Of A Pitch VST plug works?

Running a little test with the VST in Reaper. (I've never seen this plug in before but I've used others like it in similar ways.) You can control the Pitch Bend Wheel with an envelope very easily. In Reaper, the Pitch Wheel is control via Spare Input - It may be different in your DAW but I doubt...

Can this issue be caused by something in MIDI?

To be honest mate, without a good look at it close up, I wouldn't really know what to suggest. (Keyboards aren't really a great area of my knowledge) From what I've read, the big springs are the return springs so they should be fine. The smaller springs at the under-front of the keys look like...

Can this issue be caused by something in MIDI?

Out of interest, I just took mine to bits and had a look to see if I could change the key/rubbers to fix the issue and I could, it did, and now I can't replicate that issue that I posted above, on any Octave on the keyboard. It's all working as it was when I first inherited it back in 1997...

Can this issue be caused by something in MIDI?

My money is still on the old keyboard being at fault. I may be wrong but going on past/current experience it is highly likely that is the case. Here's an example of what happens with my keyboard and you can hear in the MP3 what you see in the midi editor. There are keys that are hitting full...

    John Brown

I haven't shared anything in a while so I thought I'd put this little ditty up that I'm recording for a friend. He turns 55 next year and wanted to do some recordings of his songs and have a bit of a party/gig and give away some CD's so I'm recording him and working with him. He basically gave...

    Help me with my acoustics

I'll help you out with the resizing so other can advise you easier. They are possibly the worst photos I've seen uploaded here. I don't even know what 2 of them are supposed to show. Your desk is not in a good place. Get it out of the corner and in the centre of a wall, preferably facing down...
