i was listening to a pepe romero cd and i checked out the recording dates. and they are all between 81~85. were they using large tape based digital recording back then because its has the 'DDD' seal on it.
hmm.. i was wondering this. could you run straight from your multitrack through the compressor then to the line in to use a compressor gate etc... this would save me time by letting me solder just normal balanced cables instead of annoying insert cables.
there is always the bypass switch...
I heard some poofter arse at Mars talking to this guy about powered monitors warping due to heat, and that if his last for more then 3 years he will be happy. excuse my ignorance on the heat transfer within powered monitors, but i believe this guy is full of shit. i assume monitors should last...
ok, on a hunch i see two cables inside a phone cable. are these by any chance compatible with the unblanced ground and hot wire thingy deal? my mom left a message on my answering machine telling me im a lazy fart and i want to record for posterity. or a future song relese.
there hasnt been much acticity in here lately, so i thought i'd fire up a new thread. what i did realise though is the reasn there is less acticity in here is the fact that people only buy digital now. some buy used analog but those are usually the ones who know what they want. people who are...

I thought i would post a little rant for people here. i have seen so many "is this ok for a good demo" or whatever questions posted around here. The key to a good demo is nt if its recorded on a DAW, standalone unit, ADAT, reel to reel or casette. its how you go about recording it. I have...
