I have an amp and whenever I leave the guitar alone, the amp make a phasing type noise when I'm in the clean channel. Anyone know how to prevent this from happening or knows why it does this in the first place, my other amp does the same thing as well.

How does Eddie Vedder get his vocals like that, it sounds sort of like their double tracked but its like each track is clear and not so stuck together, if you know what I mean. Its pretty hard to describe but a good example of a song that it is used on is "Breakerfall" off the Binaural album.
