    A few questions - drums, compression, us-428

    ok, i record drums at home, and will compression make them sound alot better? i've heard it makes them punchy but havent tried any compression yet. and, has anyone tried the us-428 by tascam. its like a desktop midi, digital audio controller with 8 faders, eq, among other things. thanks-----mike

    hey, i have cakewalk pro audio 9. is it workth it to upgrade to pro tools software? i find cakewalk easy to use, but have heard many good thing about pro tools. thanks....mike

    good sound card

    hey, i'm now running a gadget labs wave/4, which works good, but i'm gonna be getting a mixer, and i want to be able to mike drums seperatly and record seperatley too. i'm running cakewalk pro audio 9, and my computer can handle at least 24 tracks no problem. looking on a slightly high price...

    Nice Bass?

    I am running Cakewalk Pro Audio 9 and have to confess something. I record a drum set with only four mics and I am getting an awesome sound. But I only use a snare, bass, hi-hat, ride, crash, and splash. I have one old TEAC condenser and 3 Audio Technica MB 2000L mics. I'm getting an awesome...
