hi, can anyone recommend a good compressor for running through my fx send on my mixer (1402vlz pro) for my kick and snare? for under $500, or around there? or something less so i can have a seperate compressor on each. i think that's what i need to make my drums more punchy.

i just got a mackie 1402vlzPRO and i have some sm57's. i'm thinking of getting an ATM 25 for the kick drum....but would it be better to get a stereo compressor for the mics or some type of fx processor?? because i want good drum sounds...and i just got new drums..and i'm going to get new hi...

hey, has anyone had any experience with the zildjian recording hi hats? 10" or 12". i played on them the other day and they seemed really tight and gave a nice "chick" that would record well. does anyone know about these in a recording situation? or live?

hi. i'm recording drums in my home into Cakewalk Pro Audio 9 through a Gadget Labs Wave/496 from a Mackie 1402vlzPro. i have an old TEAC small condenser i use on the hats, a Rode NT1 for overhead (no stereo), and 3 sm57's (snare, both toms). but i don't know if i want an AKGd112 or an ATM25...

hey, if anyone has heard that album, do you know how they got that drum sound? it sounds like the set is right there in your headphones, but doesn't sound all eq'ed and compressed. its the most natural album i've ever heard.

hey, i'm look at the us-428 or TM-D1000 mixer for use with pro audio 9 by cakewalk. the us-428 doesn't need a card, its usb, but someone said something about using a mixtreme (???) card, and they work seamlessly together. any suggestions?
