HI GUYS.
Need some advice.
Just bought a used Midiverb 2.
I know it is a piece of shit but, it's what I got.
Let's talk the gated reverbs.
Do these act like a noise gate ?
Could you use it to gate a snare ?
All comments welcome.

TAPE IS UNFORGIVING!
Said our engineer, the first time I ever recorded in an semi-pro studio,
the band, engineer & I were discussing weather or not to re-track a bass line
or something due to a mistake.
Recently, with my own homer studio, I found myself in constant turmoil.
At what point do...
Ok I need help.....
I'm using CEP as a mastering program.
I record 2 tracks from an analogue source in order to burn to cd.
Recently, I recorded at 24/48000 on my Audiophile 24/96.
Mix down to 16 bit wave, then through my mini net work I copy
the wave file to the CPU with the burner & make...
I have been at recording lately with the band, heavily.
Most of my songs are quite busy.
There is usually Drums, Bass Acoustic Guitar, Lead Guitar, Keys
Lead Vox & Back VOCALS.
Although I have taken steps to keep things quite & isolated when it comes
to miking, the songs all do seem to lose...
The following post is not meant to insult or offend any

Lately, their have been a lot of Mp3 posts that have given

2) What are the ingredients of a scratch track ?

when going to tape, I like to track one instrument at a time,
How often are other instruments...
Hey Harvey,
Not to sound ungrateful for all your endless hours of time

WE NEED TO KNOW MORE ABOUT CHEEP MIC PRE-AMPS !
Your Great River is WAY, WAY out of our budget (mine anyway).
You once wrote that...
I read a post from Cyan-Jaguar, he has referred to a
Modded Shure Sm58.
Could I please get an explanation of this ?
How does one Modify a mic ?
Where does one go ?
What are the benefits ?
What are the disadvantages ?
All Comments Welcome !
Love,
Sean
Ps.
This means you Cyan.
HARVEY BABY:
I was reading over some of your older posts & I have some questions for you.
1) I own the CAD E-200 & in general I like the clarity & warmth of the
microphone.
However, while listening to some recordings of my voice I noticed that
it sounded brash or harsh if you will, or...
The wife & I decided to rip out the carpet in the living room.
CLAP, CLAP
A bit of sound reflection there.
HMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM
GET THE GUILD !!!!!
The guitar sounds kinda cool, a little brighter, louder, a tiny bit more ambiance.
OK....
Hold the flames, I know perfectly well that...
I liked this article & what it had to say.
Do you?
Doesn't it drive you nuts when your mixes sound completely different at home?
You work and slave over a hot console, you tell your significant other that you'll be home by midnight, it's 2 am, and you proudly head out to the car with...
Today I ordered my final microphone set for the drums.
I have stretched my budget as far as it will go, as you
can see by some of the mic choices.
So here is what I got & where I will be placing them;
CAD NDM 11 Bass drum one
CAD NDM 11 Bass drum two
SHURE SM57 Snare
