At a distance, I couldn't tell the difference. However, I did seem to detect a bit more brightness in the Fake at the two-finger distance straight on - they sounded the same when rotated. They are virtually identical and would be a scary proposition in the resale market.

Yeah. The basement live room I helped build in our guitarist's townhome for our practice sessions was so well insulated it would have made a terrible mix room. The only reverb came from a Fender Twin - nothing on vocals. Pretty dry.
