I must admit when i was using 4 track cassette ( yamaha mt100 ) in the late 80's early 90's i had no clue about the tech aspects etc... in fact i was so green that i made tons of " experimental " mistakes. And im glad to say i hope never to work...

    Monitor

i use up to 3 monitors .. once a mix is set up i hate re sizing / moving stuff ... 1 x 72 cm center monitor ( main daw ) , 1 x 55 cm ( midas m32 mixer ) 1 x 45 cm off to the left side for plug ins and pop ups. I like the Samsung range personally but i got an el cheapo Bauhn 72 cm and its fine.

Thanks again HP. my situation atm is im looking to move away from Ghost Production which is about 70% of my work load and move more towards straight mixing. As a mix engineer im mid level .. feedback on my mix "sonics " etc

yeah the verses are warm and fat then it goes into slam country for the chorus ... i havent played it on a big system .. i usually get my dynamic feedback by playing on the large monitors at various volumes and getting more of a " feel " that way ,

feedback on my mix "sonics " etc

aaah i can hear what youre talking about. Ok so yes that was deliberate in the mastering phase. Set freq bands on the lower mids threshold to clamp down on the " mud " during the choruses and make the guitars appear " larger " for the chorus.

feedback on my mix "sonics " etc

theres no parade, i prefer highly critical feedback :0) Ok so which compressor are you referring to ? are you saying you can hear pumping ? like a slow attack fast release setting ?
