Which would deliver better quality?

I'd like to stay away from USB if possible. I record mainly rap vocals, so quality is a big issue. Needs to be 2 channels, or more.

Which one would give better quality? I'm not worried about comparing the bells and whistles, I'm just concenred on quality.

I have an opertunity to grab either of these 3 mics, for the same price roughly from a local mom and pop shop. So what I'd like to know, is which would be the best choice, for a male singer, with a voice somewhat like a mix between Usher, and TQ?

Both have multiple ins, pre's etc. The RME has more to offer, but the real question here, is sound quality. Which uses better converters, and which offers the better sound quality?

I have a Motu 828MKII, and I love it. But I want an external pre. I'll be recording r&b vocals mainly, maybe some rap as well. I only really need 1 channel, but I'm open for any suggestions.

I used the 1820 recently, and all I can say is WOW. I had an Aardvark Q10, and this unit IMHO is as good, if not better than. The converters are VERY nice, pre's clean as hell, anf for $399...this is a no brainer. I heard someone say this was the best under $1,000...I'll have to second that...
