    Performing Live & Streaming With a Midi-Controller

So I downloaded the Voxengo VST and paid to have it converted to 64 bit like the video suggested. Definitely helped in terms of running the DAW sounds through OBS. I still say there's no way to run it through StreetJelly, though. StreetJelly doesn't give you a URL and Access Code for streaming...

How Can I Improve This Mix?

I'll give it a try. I'll probably just add a touch to the master section.

I appreciate that. I'll check this out and write back if it works out.

    Performing Live & Streaming With a Midi-Controller

Sorry I confused you. Yes, planning to use Street Jelly to practice some sessions, then live stream in other venues also. See that's the thing. If I record a performance, just on my own, no streaming, I do record through the DAW and then add the audio to OBS. But with Street Jelly, they don't...

    Performing Live & Streaming With a Midi-Controller

I'm in the process of beginning to stream live performances, but I'm a little unsure on how to make it work in my situation. What I'd like to do is do my vocals through the mic, while also playing my music through my DAW (Reason) and speaker monitors. Would it be best to get a USB conference mic...

How Can I Improve This Mix?

I'm leaning toward this version. Love to hear feedback, and appreciate all I've received thus far. This has always been a helpful community. :)

How Can I Improve This Mix?

Do you the EQ on the vocals is good, or no? Is it just the instruments?

How Can I Improve This Mix?

OK, so I've added a little more low-end to the drums, pulled right the high-pass filter to let in a little more low on some of the vocals, brought the hi-end on the guitar down a touch, swung the "bluuuunndeers" distorted vocal to the left about 40, and did some additional panning as I noticed...

How Can I Improve This Mix?

Haha, gotcha. I'm going to compare your 5-minute version against my recent later today. We'll see who wins :)

How Can I Improve This Mix?

So I made your suggested changes to EQ: +2.7 at 700 -1db at 1100 +1db at 1400 -1db at 1700 Attached is an unmastered mixdown, followed by a mastered version.

How Can I Improve This Mix?

Amazing. I appreciate you taking the time to do this. You think I should change the EQ in the session itself and then run it through the mastering service?

How Can I Improve This Mix?

How's this? I've pulled down the synths, added some de-esser to my main vocals, and pulled up the harmonies ("Ohhhhh"), as well as did a few tone adjustments to the drums.

How Can I Improve This Mix?

Word, thanks for the feedback! The second one is actually a mastered version, so I'm glad to hear it sounded good. I'll definitely try your suggestions. I had a feeling the aggressive synth was too much.

How Can I Improve This Mix?

I've probably been mixing this track for 20 hours+ at this point, and I'm getting frustrated. Once the hook comes in, it sounds like there's too much processing/effects and instruments. I've tried panning, EQing, etc, but it just sounds like everything is mushed together at the end. Let me know...

Backing Up Sessions - best way?

Great idea. Now that you brought that to mind, I have another large external drive that I bought a few years ago and backed up my current external in case of failure. I'm going to do that. I also am going to add wavs to smaller pen drives and I bought a case for carrying them. Thanks.

Backing Up Sessions - best way?

I use Reason Studios to record, and I've been wondering about the best way to back up my Reason sessions in the case of a drive dying, computer dying, etc, knock on wood. Typically, I export a good wav of a track to a cloud service, but that's just a mixdown of the track, and not the entire...

Leaving Shure SM58 Plugged in Focusrite Audio Interface

Sorry if this is in the wrong forum, but I've been wondering about this for a few weeks. I use my Focursite Scarlett audio interface for all sounds coming from my desktop, and also always have my Shure SM58 plugged into it. Is that going to wear the mic down to have it plugged in all the time? I...

Thanks for all the advice. That makes sense. I'll try recording separately.
