    Copy and paste multiple items

Two ways: 1. Keeping each item separated (not glued to the adjacent items), left-click one of the desired items , then hold down CTRL and left-click the rest to highlight the ones you want. Then release CTRL and right-click one of the items and select copy - then left-click the position where...

    Ear Trumpet Mics

I'm thinking one of these would sound better on an acoustic guitar than my AT2020 XLR. It's all subjective, of course. They seem to have more clarity in the midrange, or it might just be the quality and style of their singing voices and the particular instruments. I see he's playing a small body...

    Ear Trumpet Mics

I was thinking the same thing. That bass is thumping through nicely too - louder than I would expect. Can't tell if it's plugged in.

    Ear Trumpet Mics

Whad'ya think of these mics? There's one on vocals and one on instruments. These are picking up everything and sounding awfully good in the process. I think anyway. Cool design too.

Guitar 'truths" that you believe are myths

This particular example has always interested me. This guitar's sound has a definite "woody" tone, IMO. Is this due to the hollow-body wood construction, or does it come from Höfner's proprietary pickup construction? I'm inclined to believe if the pickup(s) were installed into a solid-body...

Guitar 'truths" that you believe are myths

How about type of wood used for solid-body electrics. I've always read that different woods resonate differently - I don't question that. I can feel my unplugged Strat resonate nicely. But I have also read that this resonance affects the guitar's amplified sound. I can accept that this is true...

burn songs to CD from BOSS br1600 cd

This doesn't really say if Tracks are burned to the CD, it does say Songs' Data is burned - is that Data individual tracks..? It seems so because after burning it to the CD the CD can be used to Import them back to the BR1600. I dunno . . . Maybe something here can be of help ...

Adding USB hub to new PC

Taking everything into consideration after everyone's replies here, I went ahead with a powered 7-port USB hub. It was priced low enough to make it a "why not?" thing. I haven't installed it yet because I'm still working out a "no device recognition" thing with my external SSD plugged into a...

Adding USB hub to new PC

I did just a little research, only to make sure the TB4 port wouldn't cause any problems with a USB-C SSD connected. Something I hadn't known was TB4 is backward compatible with all the USBs, just that the TB4 will only work as fast as the connected device's speed. Cool stuff.

Tascam 38 - Can it work with modern mixers/mic pres?

RCA to 1/4 would probably work but the SSL Big Six doesn't look like it's got enough inputs - on the rear, anyway - unless you combine the Analogue & Stereo for 8 total. You could run all 8 from the 38 into each channel's mic inputs, but then you're stuck for return outputs back to tape to...

Tascam 38 - Can it work with modern mixers/mic pres?

From memory of my 38 days, the connections on the 38 are all RCA IN/OUTs - a pair for each track. I used mine with a Fostex 450 Mixer (no tape deck) which had 8 matching sets of RCA IN/OUTs. This SSL Big Six doesn't seem to accommodate the 38's connection requirements. There are lots of inserts...

    Popping sound when recording bass

I heard some crackling @ :19 thru :25 - - Just to eliminate a couple of possibilities, I would make sure your interface buffer size matches that of your DAW. Then make sure the interface is plugged into the computer's USB 2.0 port - not a 3.0 port.

Question: Installing Windows 10 updates after downloading

I discontinued my ethernet (cable modem) service - using my phone's hotspot and it's working great. I see all updates are downloaded first, then they begin installing. I was wondering if I need to maintain the internet connection during the installations, or is the PC done with the connection...

    The Chair

The replacement Chair arrived 2 days earlier than expected. Assembly was easy as pie, took about 30 minutes. I was all set to use my cordless drill to "shoot" the bolts in, but turned out the supplied allen wrench was actually easier - huh . . go figure. All the bolt holes lined up perfectly...
