Does anybody know if you should mess with the volume of a track (besides fades) or should you try compressing or eq'ing it deeper into the track?

ive got this gibson? amp and I was wondering if I should change all caps in it or get a capacitor tester and see which ones arnt soo good. There seems to be a little noise in the circuitry. Has anybody ever heard of this amp? I cant find any info on it anywhere. Thanks Jeff

Is the SBLive! just a noisy sound card? I always have a -20db static on my meter. Do I throw this thing away? Has anybody made any clean recording with this puppy? When I record my guitar into my RP-21d then into SB.. its such a fake sound, not full. Should I shell out for an expensive card...
