Hi All,
I love Naiant mics/devices...I have a slew of them...but I've blundered into an embarassment of riches all of a sudden with regard to SDC overheads, so these two are superfluous and represent a little money that I need to get back into the house ;)
Anyway - these are in mint condition...
Per the subject line - would like a good condition, Russian made Oktava MK-012 pair...cardioid capsules...silver or black no difference.
Let me know...Jay
Like the title states - I am looking for an Audiofire 4 in good condition. I am being deployed for a year, and I'm looking for a small, portable FW solution with which to keep recording and composing with the bass guitar while deployed.
PM me if you got one that you're looking to offload...
My second Firepod is up on the block....
Mint, mint, mint condition - only 5 months old and always racked with those rubber-washered screws that protect the rack ears. There was one individual who pm'd me about selling it about a week ago. I told him I'd give him first crack at it - so I...
Just tracked my wife for some overdub work on some vocals for our Christmas program live recording. The K-6 just freakin' rocks for a smooth female vocal...oh my goodness. Of course, tracking it through a SCA N-72 didn't hurt either. The tracking computer is using it's "audio profile" right...
Okay,
Trying to find either an AF12 and AF8 OR a RME FF800...
Got to move in another direction for the studio, and I need a more flexible and expandable Firewire interface.
Jay
The manual is a bit confusing when trying to answer this question:
How many outboard analog pres can you actually input into the unit for multitracking at one time?
I count 8 line in jacks, 4 mic pres, 1 instrument in jack, and the possibility to separately use the 1/4 inch jacks on the mic...
Take a listen to this:
http://www.zshare.net/audio/58891902590a44/
It's unmixed, really - just a rough fader mix after recording my worship team live yesterday (this was the opener of the service). The drum kit was recorded with just a D-6 in the kick and a single v67g overhead (just over the...
I'm moving toward a different concept of "ops" for DAW recording (outboard pres and converters), so I'm moving one of my Firepods.
It's in Mint condition - original box, packaging, manual, CD, everything. The pres in this thing are actually very, very nice - that's why I'm keeping the other...
Ordered a K-6 and a K-58 last week - they arrived in just 4 days and in good shape. Quick impressions:
K-6:
- Very impressive on female jazz vocals...easy to setup and easy to dial in...definitely a darker mic that sits very well on a clear female vocalist.
- The shiznit on electric...
I had posted some samples of mixes that used Naiant mics earlier this month. These songs feature the naiant MSH-4 on Saxophone and the newer MSH-2T on the jazz guitar's amplifier:
Here are the links (.mp3 files - large ones):

Just for listening kicks, here's a track done completely in Reaper of a young, original metal band I'm recording now:
Cast for Illium Fourth Song.mp3
Enjoy,
Jay
This song used a MSH-4 on the saxophone (baritone). See what you think:

Great little microphone in my opinion.
Take care,

Hi all - just had a few sessions with a local metal band (young) and used Naiant mics for overheads and snare...rough mixes, but Jon does great work. There were only four mics used on the drums (band was recorded together - not everyone was there for each session as can be noted by missing...
Just received a bunch of stuff from Jon (MSH-1K, MSH-2s, MSH-4, MDI) - only have had a chance to use the MDI DI "box" to this point - simply outstanding piece of gear. I play bass, and most of us who play/record with extended range instruments know how crucial a good DI is to both recorded and...
Allan,
Just sent this to the generic Joe Meek email in CA:
Sir or Ma'am,
At the end of November, 2005, I purchased a brand new pair of JM-27 condenser microphones as backups for outdoor shows and recording. In the past year, we have not needed them, so the total number of uses (of the pair)...
Hey all,
Using Cubase SE (not v.3) with a Firepod - no problems with tracking, etc. Decided to record a rehearsal with our pickup jazz jam group (3 of us last night) - links to the songs are below.
The only "dressing" I did to the recorded tracks was to put a little compression on the bass...
When upgrading to 1GB of memory, I had to pull two 256 MB sodimm sticks from the computer.
So - I have two, PC2100/2700 DDR333 200 pin SODIMM modules in perfect condition. You can have 'em for 18 bucks shipped apiece or 30 bucks shipped for both. That's 30 bucks for 512 MB of memory.

For the live music crowd:
I have a Peavey 3-way mono/2-way stereo crossover for sale in good condition. It has balanced (XLR) and unbalanced (TS) inputs and outputs, 40hz low freq selectable rolloff for each channel, selectable dBU level and the option to slave channels.
Works like a champ -...
Mint, as new Avatar B210 NEO bass cabinet for sale (4-ohm impendance).
Specs can be found at Avatar homepage
This cab is a fantastic value (great sound, light due to NEO drivers) - Dave at Avatar builds each cabinet when ordered...take a gander over to Talkbass or the Dudepit to get reviews...
