Inspired by John The Evangelist for Easter

Inspired by the Gospel of John, chapter 3, verse 16. I said I wouldn't post anything else that had AI generated, non human vocals but there's now a choir mode to play with which worked well for this project so here it is. 5 tracks of vocals plus a 'mumble' track make up the bulk of it plus some...

    "Lake Katherine" an acoustic ballad

Maybe there is no issue if it sounds good to you. Just because I would have done something differently doesn't mean I'm right, just different.

    "Lake Katherine" an acoustic ballad

The song is great, real nice. I don't love the timing of the delay on the reverb picking out the sibilance.

    Is the Mix Muddy?

I think you're approaching this wrong. The problem isn't so much mud in the lows (which is there but not as much as you think), it's a lack of high mids and high end.

"On Your Way", new melodic rock original

Nice song! I'd be looking at that kick around 125hz, sounds a bit woolley and could do with tightening up.

Natural Forces * Lyle Lovett cover * Final mix/Master

I'm usually a bit reluctant to do it as I'm sure many hate their baby being messed with but I know my explanations aren't always very comprehensive and I think sometimes hearing it makes it easy to decide if my opinions are worthy of attention or not. I'm only trying to help!

Natural Forces * Lyle Lovett cover * Final mix/Master

Great composition, great cover. The track sounds pretty muddy to me and if I were working on this... I'd start looking for a big dynamic boost in the high end of around 4-8dB, cut the lows around 1.5dB, boost up the high mids and boost the vocal up 1dB or so. Pultec it up a bit. I'd move it...

I think I'm going to stop posting stuff with ai vocals on this site.

    You - Too short?

I agree that it doesn't sound 'right' yet even when done with the backing of UMG as this was: This was done by way better producers than me and it's pretty good but still not quite 'right' to my ear but maybe that's because I know it's an ai vocal. I do think that will change soon. (y)...

    You - Too short?

The vocal is done in Ace Studio. I've been using it a lot, it's been in most of my recent projects. I haven't used Synth V but I think it and Ace Studio are very similar. Highlighted by the reverb 80/90's style! I think I might have a look at that. This was mixed entirely on unfamiliar...

    You - Too short?

This is intentionally short. Too short or just right? Lying on this lonely bed tonight I remember your touch, your gentle eyes The walls are whispers, in shadows they blend Memories of love that never ends If you seek me, I'll be in our dream Where silence and softness serenely beam You're...

I like the more stripped out sound you've landed on. Cool songs. (y)

    Dark Spanish Night -Remix 3-

I still love that first mix with all it's faults, it has a lovely movement and feel to it listening on headphones. The added vocal in the newer mix is real nice and overall it's a real good piece of work. Take that ride home.

    Dark Spanish Night -Remix 3-

Love it! Great pacing, demanding a degree of patience from the listener but with the right amount of sugar sprinkled over it to keep it captivating. A beautiful instumental, I'm intrigued to see where a short vocal might take it. I might throw in a couple of (admittedly clichéd) castanet...
