i'm looking for a pair of passivce monitors for 200 bucks that wont color my sound too drstically so after i master and put the cd in a different player of on headphones it sounds totally different that what it should sound....im looking at Haffler M5-2 for $99 each KRK K-Rok a pair for $200...

i'd like a drum shield but i dont want to spend like 250 bucks on one from musiciansfriend....can i just buy plexiglass from home depot or someplace and put on hinges............or would this not block as much sound?? what im saying...is, is there an advantage to buying their drum shield or...

at first, i was gonna get a beta 52 for $190...but now my friend is willing to sell me his Pg 52 for like $50! is this a good deal...how do these two bass drum mics compare...its only for home recording and local band's demos and stuff, so i want it to be good but it doesnt have to be totally...

ive been looking at mics and i see that some of they have different frequency responses for different applications.....that main application im looking for is bass drum and snare drum....what are good frequency responses to these.....like, ___Hz-____kHz....

this is what i would like, whether its possible is different story....well, i would like to have a bass mic, snare mic, and two overheads all going through a mixer and into my br-8 the kick and snare can stay dead center....but for my overheads, i would like to pan one hard left and hard...

can you add the loop effects like delay and chorus, to the mix after you have recorded it??? like if i record on track 1...30 minutes later can i put compression (or any other loop effect??)

if i went from a mixer intothe rca ins on the br-8...could i record from that, or do i need to change and get an adapter to a 1/4" plug to go into one of the inputs... alo...if i went in on the stereo in's, if i hav mics set up in the stereo inp0ts on the mixer would they pan on the br-8 after...

i have some of these for my toms...my floor tom sounds great!! but my rack toms suck balls....so far i get my resonant to have some nice ring, not to loose, but not too tight.....then i put on the muffle ring (cause i want that danney carrey type sound) and tighten the batter head finger tight...
