Hey guys, last night i had a surge and my stupid surge protector didnt work...anyways, cool edit was running while when it happened...when i restarted my computer it gave me the option to continue the mix i was working on, i continued...but after that it kept giving me the message an error has...
im going through line in on my sound card from my dbx preamp and when i try and record in stereo only the bottom bar is recording while the top bar is not, just a straight line through....
can anyone explain this..

i see some pop filters by shure for $60cdn, others for $40cdn, others for 20 and so on, whats the diffence between these pop filters? is there actually a big diffence in the more expensive ones?

do i let the tube warm up before i record any vocals? in the beginning i was getting a LOT of hiss..now after maybe 10 min it has reduced..im using cool edit by the way... how do i remove the hiss if warming up is not the case?
