Should I just get the Delta 1010?

In January I purchased the Audiophile 2496 because I was tired of the old Audigy 2. But soon, 2 analog inputs wasn't enough but I scraped by as long as I could. In October I purchased the Delta 66, with that synced to my Audiophile through SPDIF, I have 6 analog inputs. But for the past month...

To buy new equipment or not?

I have recently got that upgrade bug where I want something new but I also know that I haven't got everything out of my current equipment. I record just vocal and guitar for my self but I also record my church's worship band (6 tracks need for this). Here is my current set up: AMD Athlon...

Quickest way to burn this Sonar 4 project to CD?

I recorded a banquet a couple of weeks ago that included various guest speakers. Now I am trying to break it all down to CD that has multiple tracks so that listeners can bounce around if they want. With in the Sonar Project there are 4 individual tracks, one for each of the mics that were...

Recording problem with ART Tube MP

I was recording my Acoustic Guitar last night through my new Art Tube Mp. I was getting slight buzz or hiss that you might associate with a grounding problem. I know my house doesn't have the best wiring but none of my amps or other equipment has had this problem. I plug the art's power cable...

    M-Audio and 24 bit / 96 khz

Last night I was trying to get my system to record in 24 bit 96khz last night. Right now I have an Audiophile 2496 and a delta 66 synced through a spdif cable, using the audiophile as the master. I am also using Sonar 3. The whole thing works flawlessly when it is set to 24 bit 44.1khz. But...

    Counting before recording starts

When I used to have my Audigy, sonar would count in 4 beats before recording would start. I would be able to hear the count through my speakers. But ever since I switched to by AP 2496, I don't hear the counting anymore. What do I need to change in my setup?

    is the right sync cable?

http://www.musiciansfriend.com/srs7/g=rec/search/detail/base_pid/333006/ Is this the right cable to sync a Delta 66 to an audiophile 2496? It looks like it is one single cable, not the standard rca Pair. Does this run from the spidf out of one card and into the in on the second card?

Which sound card option should I get?

Currently I have a Audiophile 2496 and I love it. But I am finding that only 2 inputs are limiting. So I have decided to upgrade. I have narrowed it to two option (unless you guys have others). 1. Option one is to buy another 2496 for $99 and sync it to my current with a spdif cable. 2...

    Two 2496 Audiophiles?

Is it possible to use two of these cards in the same machine and sync them with a spdif cable? Would Windows XP Pro even allow these two cards to coexist?

    AP 2496 and Delta 44

Can I use both of these cards in the same machine? Will I have troubles getting them to record simultaneously?

I need some vocal effects for live performance.

I work the sound board at my church for our worship team. A member of our church body said he would buy a vocal processor for the band and he wants me to get him some ideas. He wants to have reverb on it and I think it would be good to have a compressor too. Does anyone have any ideas for...

    Recording schools

I am asking this question in this forum because it doesn't really match up in any other forum but mainly because i have begun to trust those on this site. I would like to look into going to a school for a recording education. I have begun to look at Full Sail but I was wondering if anyone...

    No Midi sound from AP2496

I don't actually have any midi equipment. But I use the piano role to create very basic drum tracks. When I used to use my Audigy 2 Platinum, this method worked fine. But i get no sound when I use my AP2496. I have the midi track output set to the AP MIDI but I get nothing. When I used to...

    Garble sound from Audiophile 2496

I'm posting this in the sonar forum because it was in SOnar 3 that the problem began. In the middle of working on a project, suddenly I only got a sound that could be described as a slow, underwater, garble sound coming through my speakers that are attached to my Audiophile 2496. I had the .36...

    Two Sonar Installs?

I have two different applications in which I use Sonar 3. The first is just recording myself and the second is recording a church band live. For myself I would like to use my Audiophile 2496 because it is my best card and the 2 track input is fine. But for the church band, I need to use the KX...

    Multiple ASIO Cards

I know that Sonar can only use one card when using asio drivers. BUt what if you have two cards with asio drivers, how does sonar know which one to use.

    Is this possible?

I just figured out how to make the audigy 2 record 6 inputs using the kx asio driver. I am going to be recording a church band every once and a while so 6 inputs would be very handy. But when I am at home, I don't need 6 inputs. I would rather use my audiophile 2496 for recording my own...

Claimed 6 channel recording with Audigy 2 Platinum

I was just over at the kx drivers forum and someone on there claimed that they can record from more than just two inputs. On my card, I have to select which input I am going to record from in the windows control panel (line in 2, auxilary , etc.) Can they do this because of the kx drivers...

Recording 24 bit problems with Audiophile 2496

I have a Audiophile 2496 and an Audigy 2 Platinum. I would like to experiment with 24/96 recording and I know that the audigy is not capable of this so I disabled it in the input devices but left it enabled for playback. When select 24 bit and 96K after restarting to make the Audigy changes, I...
