Anybody have one of these?
Couple of things I'm curious about.
1- How do you treat it when you record a singer? (male and/or female, I'm going to have both) Any EQ bumps? Notches? How do you think it responds as far as bright freqs, too warm freqs, distance from the mic, etc....?
2- Do you...

I've noticed the Alnico speakers cost more, but I've never really had an opportunity to hear a side-by-side compare. Weber seems to be the only one I see who consistently offers the choice, and it's the Weber Blue Dog speaker that really has me thinking about it. The Alnico Blue Pups are not...
This EarCandy 1x12 BOA cab is really pretty darn nice!.....birch plywood, screwed and glued, not one spec of particle board anywhere in sight, the screw holes for the front mounted speaker (I bought it unloaded) line up like they were laser sighted, solid little beast, built like a tank. The...
Anybody here who might know what to suggest?
I think I accidentally applied phantom power to the XLR output of my PAIA tube mic preamp. Does anybody know what parts are most likely to have been damaged by this??
The output has a few resistors and a couple of 33uf / 16v caps, but also an IC...
I know it's not the same thing, but....
I just realized (while recabling my entire studio) that I have a newer fx box that has spdif in and out jacks on it.
I've never used digital I/O on an fx unit before. Is it the same - just from a function/mechanical point of view - as using the analog...
This is really a huge sticking point for me, people! I am a hard core dyed in the wool "black box with knobs and cords to the patchbay" kinda guy! :(
But my gawd, friends and neighbours, the more I stare at my rack and then read these Ozone and Tracktion manuals, the more I feel like all this...
Well.... not really broken, but when I opened it the end cap was not screwed on to the mic body.
Apparently the mic grill, diaphragm assembly, and guts are all one piece, with the threaded XLR jack at the other end. There is a cylinder shape metal tube that goes over the guts, and the end cap...
I have a MOTU usb midi interface, a Emu 1212 pci soundcard with midi in and midi out jacks, a Yamaha KX88 controller keyboard, a 2488 recorder, and a handful of synths, drum machine, and fx units.
It is conceivable that at any given time on any given song (on any given Sunday??) I will need to...
I've been out of the midi sequencer loop for quite some time. In a nutshell, my old Atari 1040 sequencer died. With the software and hardware on the Atari, I had 64 midi channels, four banks A-D of 16 channels in each bank. It used a black box connected to a parallel port, and the box had 4 midi...
Fender Twin and Mesa Subway Rocket Clips
(Levels are low, no processing at all, so you'll have to turn it up quite a bit)
I do not make any claims about my ability - or lack thereof - to get great sound with these mics. I only claim that the sound of the Twin, loaded with a Weber Michigan...
DEFINITELY MY LAST AMP!
This is THEEEEE Sound!
WOW! Oh Myyyyy GAAAAAAWWWWWDDDDD!!

I put a Weber Michigan in my red knob evil Twin, with a Mesa MC90 Black Shadow....... :D

I never have this problem when I play thru my amps and their internal speakers, only when I play thru external cabs. Doesn't matter which cab or which amp, it's always the same resonance....
I get a nasty resonance at about 110hz, the low A to low B area on the guitar. Doesn't matter if it's...
The "Buy It Now" price disappears as soon as someone places a bid, which only drives the price up. So jump on this one asap!!
