I've got StroboSoft which is way cool. It's more accurate than I can tune the guitars. I noticed that it didn't quite agree with my handheld tuner, or the tuner in the FX box, or something else, maybe the POD XT Live. It didn't even agree with itself; it would be a little bit different...

How is it done?

I've had trouble stripping out the heads of phillips screws. Should I counterbore the holes for the little screws on the machine heads? One bit for the threads and a bigger one for the shank? Is there a really good line of screwdrivers that grip better?

So why does a guitar need to be strung to cut the nut? The target is a point some distance above a plane defined by the first and second frets, right?

So what are we hearing in the solo of ARS's cover of Spooky? The tone is wonderful!

OK, so if I build an apl CUSTOM Guitars guitar using licensed Fender body and neck, and put an apl CUSTOM Guitars logo on it, then sell it, will Fender sue me?

Is there a reason not to put a touch of non-permanent Loc-Tite on the nuts that secure the jacks, pots, and switches of our beloved instruments?

Which is better, shaping by hand with a triangular file, or one of those files with the fret shape built in? Why?
