ok i just got my firewire interface and i cant seem to figure it out. im recording using tracktion 2 and if i dont set the latency to an exact spot it just wont record. pleasee help.
recently i just got a cubase program that came with my hercules firewire. im having some serious isssues tho. i got it up and running i just cant get the freaking thing to play audio while im recording even with the monitor button i turned on and my outputs are correct. it will however play...
ughhhhhhh :mad: im having soo much trouble installing this thing. i can get the drivers to install. and it says that theyre already on my comp and so i try to just git rid of all the hercules software on the add/remove programs page(so i can install the drivers) and it wont let me. ahhhh. plzzz...
if im trying to mix a song and i find out theres a hissing sound on a few of the tracks, how can i get rid of it? is there anyway to just take it away?
everytime i record something on my lil grey box and put it on the comp theres a small fuzz but it killlls me. IVE TRIED EVERYTTTHING i can think of. its not room noise, ive tried allll sorts of rooms, its not my mics, its not my cables, ughhh. do you guys ever have this problem?
ive got a hercules 16/12 firewire interface coming to my house soon and i cant find out what kind of firewire cable to get. 6 pin? 4 pin? i cant find that info anywhere.
in all those studios they have those huge mixers....i dont understand how they get those mixers to work with their computers. like how do they get them connected. im prtty sure its not firewire and i know its not usb.
i just got done recording something and when i got to export as a wav. file at a sample rate of 96000 and sample size of 32 bit it renders fine but then when i play it in windows media player its all super loud and distorted

a friend of mine recently got a new mac and the computer doesnt have a tower like its all in one a screen/comp so thats all you have to carry around. it doesnt have any places to put in soundcards but there is like a few usb and firewire ports. anyway.....how will i connect an adat converter to it?
