Looking for a 6-8 (up to 16) channel mixer. Old or new. under 150. if anyone has one that would fit these specifications that would be great. Like i stated earlier, it doesn't matter if its from the early 90's or 2004. in desperate need of new affordable mixer. thanks, derek
well i guess I am not that new, just young and quite ignorant to the subject. So my question is about drum recording. Using N-track studio. How can you get each drum to be one track? I use a PA head as a mixer, and it just makes the whole drumming one track. Anyone know how I can get each drum...
Ok, so Im not trying to produce professional recordings here. Just something for my band to get decent quality recordings to post and sell demo EP's at a show. So when click on Cakewalk and the program starts working, it says I have no Midi devices selected. Well my computer doesn't have midi on...
looking on comments for the song more than the recording, even though thats what the site is for...well, feedback would be nice. The song is ALL LIES

Hey, I am looking for some Sabian B8's or B8 pros that someone will sell for a low price. Actually, any cymbal for a low price. We are in desperate need of at least temporary playable cymbals. Crash, ride, china, splash...thanks, derek
Ok so I have saved up some money and I am going to buy some of my first REAL recording equipment. Will this stuff work for good quality recordings? Oh, I am using Kristal as my recorder (seems to work fine). But here's a list of what i am looking to get:
Alesis MultiMix 16FXD 16-Channel Mixer...
Ok, finally got this song done, comments on the vocals and music and stuff would be good. Its the one called In History Books.

Our First recording/mix...by 14 year olds
Yeah so we are 14 and have our first recording using kristal, a few mics, and a crappy PA head to sub as a mixer. so here is our first recording...as you can guess, its nothing special. But comments on the song would be good, no vocals yet. check it...
is there any kind of copyright that prohibits the use of "we're sorry this number can not be completed as dialed" or any computer voices? i have some at the end of my newest recording and this just came into my head.
right now i am using duct tape and swiffer cloths but its very unattractive and gives it a cheap sound...any good techniques to muffle the sound with stuff around the house?
I have a Soundblaster CT4760 in my computer right now. Is this a decent soundcard to be recording stuff on? I am running everything through a mixer into a SoundBlaster Live! Drive. Anybody else have this setup? If so could you tell me how the quality is? Thanks, Derek
I'm very new to home recording...at least quality home recording. I have never owned a preamp and I don't know where to start. Any reccomendations for a low priced, yet decent quality preamp?
Would this be anything to look into?

I have the N-track Version 4 Beta software. I have one problem though. I used to always use the microphone input and this wasn't a big deal until I hear that line-in will give you better quality recording. I am having to use the soundcards inputs because I can't get my Live! drive to work. But...
I am starting to record more high quality (which isn't great quality because of my 14 year old budget). I was wondering if I could use my Peavy MP400 to record the bands songs. Just something that we could get two simultaneous tracks on for timing purposes. Would this mixer (which is intended...

Hey, I am on a low budget and I was wondering if I got a condenser mic to mic the whole set if it would sound decent. I do not have nearly the money to buy a complete drum mic set. Also, would one condenser and one dynamic work? If so, how should I place them over the set? thanks, derek
I wanted to know what everyone thought about this. I am going to be doing some more recording later on and we really want it to sound a little better vocal wise. We are no mic experts so opinions would really help. The main reason I am showing this is because the price seems to good to be true...
Hey guys,
I'm new to the board and I was wondering about Pearl cymbals. Does the quality of the cymbals match up to the drums? I have a vintage Rogers XP-8 set from the late 70's with 30 year old Zildjian ride and hi hats. Would a pearl crash be a bad add on to this set? Thanks much, Derek
