Right now I only have a H&K Tubefactor, a Boss Metalzone MT-2 and a Vox v847 wah. I'd like to add AT LEAST these 4:
-tuner (probably Boss TU-2 or TU-12)
-chorus (boss ch-1 or maybe visual sound H2O)
-delay (ibanez de-7 or maybe visual sound H2O)
-tremolo (probably Fulltone Supa-Trem as soon as I...
Electro Harmonix Deluxe Memory Man
Boss DD-5
Boss DD-3
Boss RV-3
Carl Martin Delayla
Ibanez DE-7
I'm really looking for some analog tape-echo sounds (60's, 70's)
Which one would you recommend and why?
And how do you like/hate it?
Have you compared it with POD/j-Station/V-amp(2)?
I have tested it once and liked it way better than the POD. POD sounds way to muddy for me. And the Genesis responds better to your playing dynamics as well as using the volume-pot of your guitar.
What are your...
I just saw this thing for the first time. looks decent; vu's, switches for -20dB, phase, phantompower, 2x mid sweep and high and low. eq bypass. $600. Whaddayathink?
Oh, and Mr. 1 Star Rater, pleazzz give this post your usual 1 star, so I know I'm *appreciated* :p Loser....
http://www.audiotechnica.com/prodpro/profiles/AT4040.html
AT 4040. Better specs than 4033, and transformerless, externally biased, yadda yadda. $300 at MusicStore Koeln.
Whaddayathink, guys?
There are tons of threads here, yet MY thread (which was pretty informing about some tube-heads) got 1 star.
If you're so tough, tell it in my face, otherwise, go post *better* threads yourself.
Who ever you are, you're a pathetic loser...
I was in a reasonable store, where they had a lot of decent amps (Marshall, Mesa, H&K, Engl, Peavey  ;) etc.)
I played three tube amps (each one had its own (same brand) cabinet (all 4x12" 's ).
The amps:
-Engl Savage Special (€ 2400)
-Hughes And Kettner Duotone (€1600)
-Mesa Boogie Dual...
Hi. As some of you may know, I have a Korg D16. And I'm not overly thrilled with its mic pre's (they get pretty friggin noisy, when put louder than -40dBV).
Anyway, I was wondering if a Audiobuddy or a DMP-3 would make a BIG difference? And which would be the next step from there? I'm only...
Well here's the deal:
Right now I only have the mic pre's of my Korg D16. They ain't all that. So I'm gonna buy some external pre's, an Audiobuddy and/or a DMP-3 probably. But If I would add the VC1Q or a En-Voice, would that be an even bigger improvement, or are they 'just' up to par with the...
I've looked at both these kick-drum mics from Audio Technica, and it seems people here use the name interchangably sometimes. But according to the Audio Technica website, these are two different mics:
ATM 25
AT PRO 25
Did anyone tried these two and came up with a difference?
Help me out here...
Would that work out nicely, or would it be better to buy a special kickdrum mic for the job? Like an AT Pro 25/D-112/Beta 52?
Right now I have a SM57 and a Sennheiser e609. I think I'm gonna add 2 ECM8000's that could be used as overheads. And I'm gonna buy 1 LD condenser (most likely the AT...
I'm thinking:
- Lenny Kravitz-Mama Said (intro)
- Deep Purple-Burn
- Iron Maiden-Phantom of the Opera
- Dire Straits-Money for nothing
- Rolling Stones-Jumping Jackflash
- Van Halen-I'm the one (intro)
Lemme hear yours...
I have one site : http://go.to/bossgt3
but the coolest sound ('Sitar' under 'miscellanious') is unavailable.
Does anyone know any more sites?
Since I REALLY REALLY have been tweaking the sounds of my Gt-3, I don't have to bother much about adding a POD 2.0, J-Station, Genetix3, or a Behringer...
Hi, after you've all had the chance to see me gettin' drowsy about the Joemeek VC1Q, this guy on H.C. recommend the SPL Channel One to me. Now, this Channel One is double the price of the Meek, my question: Is it worth it, considering it will only be used in a bedroomstudio with no...
Did anyone A/B-ed these? As I am in the market for buying my 1st set of active studio monitors, my other choices are
Event PS-6
Event PS-8
Tannoy Reveal Active
(Behringer Truths-if I can mix decently on these, what the hell! They're friggin' cheap $400 in Holland)
Genelec 1030a and Mackie...
What are your thoughts on these mics? I've done extensive research, but I need some more help here. My budget would be around $325 tops...unless you can convince me, that for a little bit more money, you can get a LOT more mic.
No Blue Baby Bottles please, as they cost over $700 in Holland.
What do you think about these mics?
I've done excessive research already, my premature conclusions so far:
-AT 4033 SE, nice alrounder, has built quite a reputation
-Rode NT1000, some seem to love it, others find it too harsh
-Studio Projects C1, the new U87-wannabe? ;)
-CAD M179, little is...
