if im a solo arist and will be recording heavy metal guitar and bass do i need to use two mics at a time from amp to mixer or can i use one or can i plug directly into the mixer from my amp
what is a pre amp and what do they do?
do i need one for recording vocals and guitar and bass mostly wirh distortion?
does a 1/4" guitar jack or mic jack plug into it?
as a solo artist would a smaller mixer do fine or do i need the extra channels. i will be recording multiple guitar, bass and keyboard tracks But never at the same time so in recording them one at a time would i need the extra channels.
this seems like a nobrainer but i have to be sure

can a guitar be plugged directly into a soundcard port with a regular patch cord and then be recorded and still get good sound. if so what sound cards can do this and what software programs support this sort of guitar recording.
thanx again
was wondering if its possible to insert or download sounds/synths onto a keyboard and then designate that perticular sound or synth to a certain key or bunch of key's. and if so how can it be done and what makes and models of keyboards can do this.
what is the difference in 16 ,24 and and 32 bit recording does one sound better than the other and does it make a difference in what soft ware and hardware your using to record in and mix/master
