Fairchild 670 plug-ins: Do they vary from one developer to another?

Adding in a bit late but the t-racks 670 from IK multimedia is my favourite compressor plugin.

    Corona virus impact

@ Orson & TAE, I do agree with what you said, I am double vaxed soon to be treble vaxed, I am still playing out live and also working as a sound guy some nights. 4 gigs last week as a bass player. We have been luck where I live as our state borders have been closed and we have very little...

    Corona virus impact

I did not say that, I said let’s stay away from the anti vax / vax argument. I’m sick of reading about it, 90% of people here are vaxed, here if you are not vaxed you will not be allowed to go to large gatherings for example festivals, that’s the decision. Weather it’s right or wrong I am not...

    Corona virus impact

This thread was for the effects of the virus on the music industry not anti fax propaganda. Trues have a choice but keep it to yourself.

EQ-ing HIFI speakers for a flatter response

EQing monitors with an eq, 31 band or anything else does not work. Making the room sound right is the only way to do it. Alan

HD Storage options for the PC

You only need a small ssd for the program drive, I use multibles of 500gig drives for project files. And a NAS box for backup. I am going to install a raid system soon with duplex drives so everything is automaticly backed up as it is created. Don't you just love technology. Alan

    DAW build 2021

You know what, after being a Windows man since windows 3.1, yes I know I'm a little senior, I am about to switch to a Mac. I have used Macs in my other job for many years. The reason I am switching is that the new Mac Mini M1 looks awesome, and for the price I can't get anywhere near building a...

Rode NT1 or Sennheiser MK4 for Voice Over?

If it's for podcasting or Zoom, have a look at these, price is very good and I know someone that uses them for making podcasts and they work great. Good rejection of surrounding noise and room acoustics. http://www.rode.com/microphones/podmic

stacking insulation rolls as corner bass trap?

But it depends on the trap design, he was originally talking tube traps and a simple rolled up insulation. If you use high density insulation of say 4" and leave an air gap behind that works in a different way to filling the whole corner completely. I think we are on the same page but its more...

stacking insulation rolls as corner bass trap?

\ Well, nothing I read that you posted contradicts anything that I posted previous. My answers were trying to explain to the OP what you can achieve with what he was asking about. I was trying to put the case that dense material was more efficient that the light fluffy stuff, which is what the...

stacking insulation rolls as corner bass trap?

Well we started off talking about tube traps and now we are talking about something very different. The rule is if you use dense insulation you will need less of it, if you use fluffy insulation you will need a lot of it. how much of your room do you want the bass trap to take up? The second...
