I'm using Sonar Home Studio7 and I was recording my audio guitar, but it stopped recording at the 34th bar. What can I do to fix that?

Every time I play something back, I keep getting static and I don't know why. I think I may have something setup wrong, but I'm really not sure. Also, when I record in audio, I get that same static sound when I play it back. Do I have my inputs set up wrong or what? I have no idea what to do.
