    Me either. Just how old is that laptop? Warp drive failure? Time compression set too high? Just joking around a bit, but Rob's suggestion that available ram and buffering is the problem kinda makes sense. One more reason that I have never recorded using a 'puter.

I raced home, grabbed my Silvertone and figured out how to play the riff in less than a minute. Ten minutes more to learn the chords. The internet didn't exist....YouTube videos didn't...

    You beat me to asking the same question. The fact that he is unable to "declutter" the room is problematic. An empty room lends itself much better at determining the source of reflections. Square room? Rectangular room? Ceiling height? Every dimension matters. Wall, Floor, and Ceiling...

    I discovered years ago that my dad's old banjo that I had hung on wall within my room was problematic. I removed the strings. End of problem. Didn't even need to search the internet for a solution.
