I listened yesterday and again today. It's a cool tune! Describe "analog". Nah, just kidding. There's no need to go down that road again

    Signature Guitar Strings?

Depending on the guitar, I lean toward Elixer Custom Lights, but I have also experimented with using different string to string gauges. Who knew! If only I was famous.... 🤣

    Signature Guitar Strings?

I understand it that many guitar companies eagerly manufacture signature guitars based upon the specs provided by famous guitar players who have modified their off the shelf guitars to achieve a "signature sound" of their own. And that's okay, but all of a sudden now, signature strings are are...

    Up for a new amp...

@TalismanRich Thank you for reminding me that, just like you, I also had purchased a Peavy Transformer 112 right about the same time that you had bought yours. That amp has been sitting there beneath my desk for about 20 years. My bad. I do remember scrolling through the factory presets, but I...

To Plek, or Not to Plek? That Is My Question

To Plek, or Not to Plek? That Is My Question

I agree with that. For example: Masonry has been and always will be a "hands on job" best performed by people who possess the skills to lay brick and mortar.

To Plek, or Not to Plek? That Is My Question

It wouldn't require all that much time for a company like Gibson to absorb the cost of the Plek machine, but I suspect it that boutique custom guitar luthiers are quite capable of building guitars matching or exceeding a Pleked guitar.

To Plek, or Not to Plek? That Is My Question

So, the long and short of it is that you (and other competent luthiers) simply know it that that y'all can do a better job of fret dressing etc than a Plek machine is capable of doing? Is that right? I agree with you 100% that putting a guitar in the hands of a competent luthier is the best...
