Well I came home today to discover that when I try to record all I get is a highpitched squeal after I normalize my track...I tried it in Acid and Cubase SX and got the same results for both...
Now my soundcard is an audiophile 24/96 and I unplugged everything and recorded and I still get this...
Well I grabbed this piece cause it was affordable and I didn't have a preamp but the hiss that is coming out of this makes me think something is wrong with it or the mixer or the setup..something...maybe its just ass
I am running it thru a behringer eurorack that has built in crappy pre...
I saw a thread a week or so ago I believe...But I think I am having the same problem...I sit and sit and mix the tracks so they are perfect to my ears...Then I export and Bamn!!! it changes the sound...I used to have n-track and liked the ability for the realtime mix...Anyways any work arounds...
Well back again...Hope you guys can help me here...I am going to go buy some Active monitors and I was thinking some Yamaha or Maudio active monitors would do the trick for me...I am mixing nothing but hiphop tracks...The ones I am looking at right now are in the 400(canadian dollars) range...
Yes another rookie question...How can I tell when my mic is at line level after its run thru the preamp???
Just by listening or can you visually see it on your computer screen when recording or what...Cause I honestly can't tell the difference by just listening to it....
Thanks
Taylor
Okay I am an absolute rookie here...I have an alright mic set-up but the built in pre-amp of my behringer mixer seems to me to be useless...Atleast I hear no difference when its on or off...
Now I am using my stuff for hiphop music and occasionally my girlfriend will sing on it...The question...
