Going back a few years I had a guild 25 guitar and I recorded it with an akgc1000. Whatever inherent brittleness that guitar presented it was made double with that mic. The results were hideous .worse still I had the dubious benefits of a synth module which was essentially a mud machine. Apart...
Hi. Let me know anything about this one especially if you have one. Not all that much available on YouTube. Was released 2018 I think and has real drum grooves recorded.thanks
Just had a thought .take a mic like the akg414 type or lewiitt 440 for example . That open basket design is such that the diaphragm should hear better south than say an nt1 type design with a metal body shoved all the way up to its neck . Just a thought that struck me. Let me know if that makes...
Hi. Still haven't figured out how to send a directed response (ie where their post is highlighted in yellow ) there a couple of quote marks and a curved arrow at the bottom ? Thanks let me know
Hi .probably gonna show my vast ignorance here .... again . I was in a shop maybe a year ago just in case I might end up needing something for these acoustic type tracks I'm trying to put together . In other words looking for some cheap drum machine where the acoustic traditional drum sounds...
Hi. Spent the last 6 months living in a camper /rv/motor home trying to get songs refined / written . I have limited kit. Larrivee om-03r guitar and dp008ex. I have 8 songs which I want to produce on that machine as best possible . Recently I been testing the machine exhaustively and concluded...
My tip is this:.take one element of your song and ask if it's working to its absolute best rather than wondering what to add next in terms of other instruments . Rather than keep going forward.keep coming back
Let's assume you have a good neutral stable recording environment . A decent quality large diaphragm mic with a wide cardioid pattern . With optimal placement could you really attain a fairly high quality and full and balanced capture of an acoustic guitar and vocal together . I've tried to...
Wondered what the limitations are here . I suspect that getting an external mic can improve what is captured? ( against the small inbuilt mini condenser stereo mics). However will it ultimately be limited to the circuitry itself . Analogue to digital converters?? If that's what you'd call them ...
For me it's like a frightened untrained rabbit marching inside one of those insanely militant armies . I'm pretty sure in the old days things were recorded freestyle
Does anyone have this mic. I've read it's decent (possibly favourable over rode nt1a). I'll be recording in what I consider to be a fairly neutral environment vis a vis reflections etc. Many thanks
Hi. I've tried a lot of vocals using the internal mics .A single mic sounds too thin and both mics are muddy and need to be panned hard left and right onto 2 tracks where the vocal is no longer truly central . I'm looking at a rode nt1a but concerned a machine like this mat not provide...
