    100 Hz high pass cut

    I normally cut everything under 100 Hz in vocals when i'm mixing. i read that it's good to do that so it wouldn't get in the way of any low end sounds (bass, drums, ect.) does anyone else use this strategy also or do u deal with that frequency in a different approach. thanks for any helpful...

    Eq Ying/Yang Effect

    I heard about the Eq ying yang effect and i was wondering what are the EQ opposites. (E.g) if i cut at 200hz by 2db what is the opposite of that that i can boost 2db to make it sound more natural. Is there a chart that can explain the opposite Eqs or a formula to find the Opposites?

    Is there a way to calculate which frequency the Set Q number will raise or boost. (e.g. say if i set the Q to 1 and started to boost at a certain frequency, is there a formula to use to know which frequencies will raise?)

    sound blaster audigy 2

    i have a sound blaster audigy 2 and on the box it says during recording i can go up to 24 bit and 96hz quality but my recording program lets me record in 24 bit and 192,000 bit quality. is the quality going to be better if i record at the 24 bit and 192,000 or am i just waisting hard drive space...

    frequency range

    when mixing, how do keep something in it's own frequency range? like how do you know what frequency a paticular instrument or vocal occupies. i use the waves PAZ frequency chart. is an instruments frequency whatever frequency it takes the most space of?
