if you have something cool you think would be a fair trade, PM me. An MXL
v67g or a xylophone or something would be cool.

I'm new to using midi and keyboards. What I've been doing lately is using my keyboard to trigger VSTi's and sounfonts.
But how do I access the onboard sounds that are in my keyboard, through midi?
I have the MIDI OUT of the keyboard into the MIDI IN of the soundcard.
And I just plugged the...
This is an Airline Autoharp by Oscar Schmidt.
In excellent playing condition, and good cosmetic condition also, given the normal vintage wear.
I have personally cleaned the wood, and tuned ALL 36 strings to a Grand Piano. ALL STRINGS ARE IN GREAT CONDITION!
Google "Autoharp strings."...
I've been singing for 2 years now, but have just started taking lessons. Today was my 2nd lesson. We have only done simple breathing excersises, but on my own I THINK I've discovered how to use my head voice.

can anyone tell me if this is head voice I'm using...
It's a VSTi that's pretty much the best piano sound I've ever heard in my life. I have a grand piano in my livingroom, but since I'm not a world-class engineer with a 10,000 dollar mic collection, I think Truepiano's is pretty much the next best thing. In my opinion it sounds waaaay better than...
I can't say I'm very expirienced with playing shows, but I have noticed some things. I've played a restaurant or two, a community show or two, and a few coffee houses. My music is acoustic and I live in SF area and am 18, so it's not as if I have much of an option to play the clubs in the area...
I'm completely clueless when it comes to recording drums. I know it's kinda an unwritten law to record drums before anything. But is it completely necessary? If I lay down a guitar track while playing along to a click track, then layer everything on after that, THEN have my drummer record...
So here's the thing. I'm going to be recording soon. I'm going to be recording drums in a commercial studio, drums are not a consideration in my dilema. But I'd like to record everything else myself. I'll be recording accoustic guitar, electric guitar (usually clean.....and never the base...
So I used to work at an electronics store. I worked there to get enough money to get an album out. After releasing it, I quit. I still go in there all the time though to get a mic clip or guit strings or chat with my old boss or something.
Anywho, I was buying a midi cable for like 7 bucks...
a few years ago I swore a blood oath I would never get into midi....but here I am!
So I use an EMU 0404 soundcard. It uses a soft-mixer to route everything, but for some reason, it doesn't have ANY options for midi within the mixer, and I must rely on the recording software for everything...
I'm looking into submitting my music to indie music podcasts. The majority accept both electronic presskits and sending them through the mail. Is one better than the other? Do they generally like electronic ones because they are easier, or do physical presskits leave a better, more professional...
if this is considered such a "no-no," why does it sound so good? *SOUND CLIP UP*
EDIT: Scroll down to my response a little down, I've posted a clip.
So I've always been told and read that directly micing the soundhole of an accoustic guitar was a bad idea. That it's a better idea to mic the...

such as them. They were able to shrink the font size, yet when editing your band name, it doesn't allow html. Does anyone know how to do this?
New to electronics
Ok so I have 2 electronics books, both do a terrible job at explaining things. I want to do a hands-on kit. Something super simple. I want to build a simple audio amp with either a transistor or two, or an op amp. Can anyone give me any links or anything? Thanks!
Can someone tell me why so many artists sell their cd on cdbaby and lose 4 bucks to each cd when they can set up a merch acount on paypal for free, which can accept credit cards now also?
doesn't cd baby automatically get you on iTunes too?
Has anyone had any good expiriences with cd baby...
I guess obsessively watching for an RNP on ebay multiple times a day pays off, got it within minutes of it getting listed for $390!
Anywho, my main question is this: I know it can be outputed to both balanced and unbalanced gear, but does it really matter which? I've got both a balanced and...
I honestly just don't understand. Protools's cheapest version, without an interface, is 250 bucks. There are free or very inexpensive programs out there that can produce marvelous results, such as REAPER. As far as I know, recording software doesn't in and of itself alter the sound of the...
